BBQ, did you intentionally get prizes for people you hate or something?

I hold not sway over what SE decides, The SE Community Team picked the questions they liked best and awarded them accordingly. Also, I have nothing to do with what PFA ends up doing, I'm with LBR. We're friendly with those guys, though.

And the "offensive to morals" bit concerns me. Morals aren't the same for everyone. In-game gambling is probably ok, but there are a lot of people against that. And of course, one of the biggest reasons for player-held weddings, besides hassle, is probably same-sex characters (whether because someone decided to play a Mithra, a character of the opposite sex, or whatever other scenario). It wouldn't make a ton of sense to support that here, but not with the official weddings.

I think so long as you use some common sense, you won't create events that are morally offensive. So no Black Panther or KKK online gatherings. No "Mithras Gone Wild" gatherings or "Taste my Galkan Sausage" contests. Keep it all in good taste and it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

So... is this SE's half-assed way of encouraging RP or what? I seriously don't get why they even bothered with this...

It's kinda cool, but honestly seems like a huge waste of time and money on their part.

It's kinda cool, but honestly seems like a huge waste of time and money on their part.

I sometimes wonder if SE wants players to have a separate FFXI sort of "culture" in-game. Things like players creating their own little annual sporting events: Level 1 Qufim Race? Player organized Ballista Royales? Or even finding ways to celebrate things like birthdays online. If this had been introduced any earlier, I'm sure somebody would've tried to make a celebration for Siren's 2000th Besieged win.

But I am thinking that SE wants to turn of FFXI, or turn off as many servers for when FFXIV comes out with all these fail attempts...

Whats the next update gonna be?
