I'll be the asshole and say it, but if anything it'll just make the 24/7 RMT happy in their pants as they'll have an easier way to level up. I know, not everything has to have an RMT implication but in this instance they're about the only group of individuals who can guarantee round the clock camping of the tablets.

Why not just have it done on the conquest tally?

Because that would be really, really dumb.

I think they should've done it on conquest Sundays too, at least i'd have a chance lol.

Hmm, let me think, which would be better? Having these things pop on the same day at the same time, regardless of when they're found so the same exact people can find it every week and the possibility of not being able to find all 11 tablets until the saturday before the week changes? Or having the timer start counting down when all 11 are found thus always ensuring a week long of active effects as well as an always changing window allowing everyone a fair chance at finding them sooner or later?

You don't need to camp this round the clock and RMT won't really benefit since leveling up a character just to have it deleted is a waste of time. Rmt don't make money off of high level things anymore because they never last long enough to be high level.

It seems unlikely that they will reset this at exactly the same time every week, when that time is not JP midnight. If they do it exactly 7 Earth days after the powers started, then the time it takes to find the Mog Tablets will cause a skew that will give us pathetic gaijin our small chance in a few months.

But with this way you do have a chance to get this ring, the same chance as everyone else on the server. Doing it at tally *might* have given you a better chance at getting it, but it would have screwed over the vast majority of the other players.

If anything, doing it at tally would have given you less of a chance to find it, because everyone and their dog who would be on at that time would be out looking.

On topic: Does anyone know what kind of information the moogle in Jeuno gives you about this stuff?

It's probably not worth the manpower. RMT aren't the only one that want the tablets. They'd have to send out multiple characters, to maybe walk away with 1 ring for 1 character.

I'd be more worried about everyone being able to HELM more by running really freaking fast in certain areas, but eh. I don't really care. SE seems to be doing a good enough job at cracking down on them.

Speaking of which I'm a little dubious about the effect so far...

I must have killed at least 20 mobs in Cape Terrigan and didn't see a single god damn casket. Increased appearances my ass. I wasn't regenerating HP or MP either, no increased movement, skill ups are still taking forever...

wtf is the deal SE? or is my luck just that shitty @_@ I was really hoping to use this week to finally skill up (and dare I dream cap) guard. Incidentally, any suggestions for a 75 MNK with 68 base guard skill? @_@

damnit, why couldnt' they just make everyone go find all 11 tablets everywhere in the world and get a 1 time ring...

plus, fast running is a nice buff, but as soon as you charm a pet on BST you are back to running slow ~_~

Because then each person would have to find all 11 tablets individually and trigger his own Kupowers every single time. And that'd be an insane pain in the ass that would practically make it not worth it when you only get 3 of the Kupowers at random.

Would be nice though if there was some way to limit how many times any 1 person can get a ring because you just know that despite the odds, some lucky jack ass is going to get more than 1.

Hah, screw the kupowers, the only thing midly worth it was the ring to make the grind a little less of a pain (only a little.)

Sorry but the level grind will never be as boring or painful as skilling up a weapon or trying to get a rare drop out of a brown coffer.

Besides, EXP rates are variable and you can do something about them, but there's not much you can do to speed up skill ups unless you have WHM and BRD slaves at your beck and call to follow you around and Haste/March you.
