Well I heard they even give you free bufss like bio, poison and dia all at the same time. I think I will just /heal through the whole fight.

Any way chances are after the first 2 months of it people will either stop exclusively looking because they are in spots people could easily stumble across if they are not in a great hurry or make an LS to do it. Chances are if I ever get one it will because I am lost in that god forsaken jungle and I find it while dodging Roses. I wonder will the moogles tell you what zones have been found because that would be a pain to be searching for one already found.

The Kupofried Ring is certainly not necessary by any stretch (we've gotten along just fine without it), and if 11 people per week or so are the only ones to get it, then that is also fine. But I don't think it would have been the end of the world if everyone had gotten one via a quest or something similar as a one time deal only, much like the Anniversary Ring.

That said, we likely won't be all getting one, and that's perfectly ok.
Bolded is why it can be so rare

It's an incentive to have people go out and find tablets so everyone on the server will get a bonus. It's not needed by any means, but it's nice to have. While it's not the end of the world if everyone had gotten one, it's also not the end of the world if only 11 people every few weeks do get one as well.

If people want the damn thing so badly, go look for it.

God damn, within 30 min all tablets were found on Seraph.

          - _ - I was searching Ronfaure the whole time but there wasn't even a tablet in the region GDI! I wonder when the tablets reset, because if it's going to be 1 AM PST every time that's just not fair. No way am I staying up until 4 AM every f'ing time.

You must have known it was going to favor the JP players with the reset. There would have been an army of JP players in every one of those zones looking for them tablets. I'm not even going to bother for a few months till the hype dies down. If I get lucky on a spell hunt good if not oh well, anniversary ring will do me for a while.

I just tend to have bad luck with that ring soon as I use it the party disbands the healer or tank dc and doesnt come back, the world ends etc.

I severely overestimated the difficulty of this. All 11 tablets were found on Bahamut within the first 20 minutes.

Fine by me. I wasn't expecting a Kupfried ring, but look forward to the bonuses.

Since I'm not running faster (some chocobos came by and I tried chasing them) and not getting an XP boost (other than the xp ring I popped before logging last night), I can only guess that they haven't all been found on Fairy yet.

EDIT: scratch that, I just noticed the Flee icon in my status after resting up, and now that I check, it doesn't seem like XP boost is one of the kupowers... time to skill up some weapons, yeah

Holy Crap! That's fast. I'm pretty sure they'll all be found on Leviathan before I get home lol. I figured it'd at least be a day before somebody found them all.

Until it doesn't. If it takes, say, 30 minutes to find them all, every time, and the reset is exactly 24 hours since the effect begins, that means that the time will go forward by 2 hours a month, or 24 hours over 48 weeks. The JP get it during the first two weeks when we get all the effects, but it will start rolling forward as the weeks go by. Some weeks may take longer if they pop in a slack hour, or when people don't go on a major hunt the moment it begins, making the roll-around take less than a full year.

So will we be seeing this "Kind Kupofried" message every time we zone forever more, and not just during these two weeks? If it's always in the same zones, perhaps they can make it not say anything when you come from another zone that has it.

EDIT: I just realized something about skilling up... "dungeon" areas are NOT included. So I can't skill up on robber crabs in Kuftal. But I can skill up on them in Cape Teriggan. No skill-up bonus in Boyahda Tree, either. That also means you want to do your crafting outside a city.

EDIT2: Refresh/Regen bonuses from Signet? I'm not seeing them right now, so I bet you have to receive your Signet after the tablets have been found. Hopefully it stacks with FoV Refresh/Regen.

No, but you get reduced materials loss. (Everybody should probably go back and read the first message, it's been a while.)

And ease of exploration is something SE should've added years ago and as a permanent service. So screw the bonuses, I just want the xp ring to ease the grind.
I wouldn't rank ease of exploration that highly. You can teleport to the outpost, Selbina is then only a 30 second run, Mhaura isn't much more.

But no, what I meant was a way to travel between cities (at least the main 3) without having to waste so much time. And the way they worded it it seems like it will be one-way, but I hope it was just a translation mistake.
Wrong game. When has FFXI ever been about a quick and easy option? Although things have been heading that way recently. Sometimes I miss the old FFXI, things are getting too easy.
