Full Morrigan's, and first to nuke. If I had been first, I'd be doing nearly 2k on Thunder 4. That's that stupid BLM nerf though, with the dumb elemental resistance shit that NMs build when you nuke it multiple times.

I really wish people would stop thinking SC are a waste of time. Hell it's one of the greatest things about having an Amanomurakumo SAM in your end-game LS if you're lucky enough >.> back-to-back light chains (Kaiten > Kasha > Kaiten = double light) for MB'ing crazy dmg. Or even Sekkanoki > Rana > Gekko for darkness. It's just sheer laziness on the part of the community and I'm truly sick of it.

For example, today I got invited to do the Periqia FL run. We just barely lost, got it down to 10% HP (4 SAM, BRD + SCH. Idiot SCH didn't have /RDM though - _ -) and they just mindlessly spammed WS. Our leader (and a buddy of mine I sometimes do stuff with) said that SC was a "waste of time" because we didn't have enough time to do that b4 it started raining death.


I really should have spoken out, since we could have had a constant WS rotation as follows;

SAM 1 (Gekko) > SAM 2 (Yukki) > SAM 3 (Gekko) > SAM 4 (Kasha) which, by the time you get to light would have done easily a few thousand points of extra damage from the chains if resists rates don't suck. If they'd kept that up (with the SCH MB'ing while I healed) we probably would have trashed him.

Or if everyone had had Rana we could have repeatedly spammed Darkness + Bliz IV MB (with Alacrity for the recast)

Unrelated to the thread but related to what Malacite brought up, I wish SAMs would stop doing things like WS > WS > Dark > WS > WS > Dark with their Meikyo Shisui. Start exploiting the power of consecutive skillchains.

That's exactly what I was talking about! Every time I pop Meikyo I do a 4-part Light SC (Gekko Yukki Gekko Kasha). I'd do 5 if I had Amano for the 2nd light chain.

The fact that most SAM give you a dirty look for even suggesting you chain these days is beyond disturbing and I long for the days when parties would kick people who didn't know how to chain.

Calling back to earlier, I take back what I said about RDM Nuking earlier. >_> Nuking's just not something that appeals very much to me, and furthermore my best nuke at the moment is Thunder. But I see now that RDM nuking can be valuable in times just as much, and I'll be sure to carry an at least decent nuking set for times when it is called for.

Good luck finding a WHM, lol.

The other day when fighting Ifrit Prime, I accidentally did a fire SC by dropping a Hexa Strike after the other two had done their SC, whatever that was. It was only 2 digits of heal, but I was still WTF. And while I've bursted with Banish/Holy by accident a few times in campaign/besieged, I've only done it once intentionally.
