At least it was topical.

I still don't care much for his comics. He draws well and makes some slick animations, but LvUp is like 100% cheesecake and lame gags to me.

Personally, I'm a fan. I love his style and cheesecake and lame gags are two of my favorite things

Though it helps alot to have a friend who's so much like Calcula it's scary, she even has the same face and everything

That's sort of what the whole thing is about. Unless you're in his LS as well in which case you get a free quality drawing of your character as well (lucky bastards).

It's not War and Peace, but it's good for a laugh every now and then, and as long as it's not Malacite posting the comic, it's all good.

I know Misi (she's doing CoP with my static) but otherwise I don't have much to do with them. I like my current LS and I figure those "Hay guy i read ur comic can i hang out with u" requests must be annoying.

I enjoy the comic personally. I guess it would be cool to be able to play with one of the people from the Lvlup comics or LBR or something but I wouldn't go out of my way to party with one of them.

I guess it's like going to see a band you really like and getting to meet the band after the show. It's cool to meet them but I guess putting up with gushing fans probably annoys them.

And to be honest the cheesecake and beefcake tends to just fly over my head. Fred Perry is quite a talented artist but to be honest it doesn't really bother me much. That being said posting full colour images of a Erge in a Vir Subligar in AIM chat is good for winding up a friend . i don't have the link to the comic on hand at the moment but that image cracks me up every time especially if you read the rest of the strip beforehand.

Its honestly not as grand as one might think. The comic just glorifies them is all. In the end we are all just adventurers trying to have fun. People...are people :D

Which is why I said while it would be cool to meet them I wouldn't go out of my way to do so. Those guys are trying to play the game like everyone else and gushing fans would make it less fun for them in the end. it's like what Arnamdo said, getting people going "Hay guy i read ur comic can i hang out with u" has to get annoying.

EDIT: besides I have a friend from an RP site I frequent who plays on midgard so I could just ask them if they've seen them *shrug*

I have a ~slight~ bit of e-fame from BG and also from posting here, which really doesn't get in my way too much. Usually just a quick tell, saying, "Oh hey, I know you! You're from BG!" and then usually I'm on my merry way. Only a few times has it gotten to be a problem, mostly with people who like to argue. Had a guy barrage me with tells once, arguing with what I'd said on BG.

Usually, though, it's just the quick "Hey, are you that Aksannyi?" (like there's more than one).
