      I was wondering what the difference could be between Cura and Curaga. I think you may have the right of it. Considering it's based on you running a JA that is getting you pounded, I think a quick snap-off cure to counter the last AoE with low mp cost and low casting time would be ideal. Now imagine if it were small with a HUGE bonus from Misery... say 1:1 basis. :D

      So for example: Cura heals everyone for 90 HP with a low casting time. But if you get aoe'd for 600 damage, Cura gets a +600 HP bonus to its cure amount. Now pair that with a static hate value like Cure V...

      Unless you want to tank and use Cura boost to make the hate freakin' solid...

                Am I the only only one here absolutely fucking floored by the spell changes?! OMG EPIC UPDATE!!!!


                RR is now level 25 for WHM. This is huge. Now WHM's can RR without items in 30-caps, and people subbing WHM for 50-cap events like mission 5-1 can RR!

                And now all raises are 150 MP and cast quicker?! USING R1 IN PLACE OF R3 IS NO LONGER A VALID GOD DAMN EXCUSE! OMFG this is going to have a dramatic impact on things like Dynamis. R1 and R3 now cost the same god damn MP YES! ^_^

                Only difference is casting time, which means it's now officially more efficient (I think) for a WHM/SCH to use Celerity over Penury on R3 in an emergency. Otherwise, 75 MP for R3 instead of 125 is pretty damned sweet.


                AND FUCK YEAH ESUNA AT LAST!!!! For once my faith in SE has really paid off (I've been wanting to level WHM to 75 but I said I'd wait for the Spring update. Good times are ahead ^^)

                  Recovering from a wipe in a tamed event would like to say hello to you. Sometimes it's just more efficient for some people to eat R1's and R2's because the recast timer for R3 while weakened to close to 2 minutes.

                    Fyi, Mal, the CASTING time has been reduced but not the RECAST time. So when I'm weak and I need to cast multiple raises and we are doing a timed event.....you are still going to eat a R1 because my recast on R3 is INSANE when I'm weak.

                        This is interesting. I'm sure much testing will be done immediately after the update, unfortunately, I will be in Dragon's Aery.                         I'm seriously intrigued by new job abilities, and not the kind I would have expected. I do often get smacked REALLY FREAKING HARD through Stoneskin in Dynamis from time to time (Curing BLMs does that), and this could be really awesome. Gonna be really interesting to relearn my job though. O.o

I hope the recast doesn't suck. This will be another set of spells to put enmity gear on. Spellcast is getting tweaked come April!

                        Yeah, I have a really good Banish set, but I'm often disappointed by the spells. Let's hope this beefs it up a bit.

                        WOW lowered MP costs! Although when I'm weakened, it won't matter much because of the recast timer. Guess I'll just Celerity spam instead of Penury/Celerity. Martyr adjustment makes me happy too! I don't use it much, but when I need it, I'm glad to have it. Now if only they'd do the same for Devotion. ^_^

                        Casting times never bothered me, I don't know why they changed that, but I guess it will be nice if I'm raising someone and someone else is getting hardcore owned, I may be able to save them.



                        A lot of this is very win, but really there is a lot to be learned here. I will reserve my judgment on some of the new stuff (abilities) mostly until I see how they play.

                            If WAR gets a update you will see me breakdance. We probably won't get one since we got Retaliation awhile back though. However, if we do, you will get to see Dura do the Elvaan Robot.

                              Hm, looks like WHM's suddenly becoming complicated. Still, soon at 40+ we'll (usually) give out a bit of free Stoneskin with our Cures? That should help give WHM a much-needed efficiency boost. Nice that our nukes are becoming more useful too (and that Holy's becoming useful again at all). I'm not sure what the point of Cura is going to be, though (and I agree that it's confusing to yank that name out of nowhere for it, too). As for Esuna and Sacrifice, they sound like they have potential to help us actually begin to compete with SCH in what's supposed to be our specialty, but I'll wait and see what they actually remove under what circumstances. I approve of the other little tweaks as well, especially the Raises. -- Pteryx

                                WOW... this is unreal here. that is dam near a whole makeover from the way WHM will be played... Well seening how SCH has been putting WHM into a corner with its abilities This was to be expected. I am happy for WHM's out there.
