Re: Suspension of Character Creation on Bahamut World (Mar. 17)

Wow, looks like i joined just in time. About a week ago lol. Yea Bahamut is doing well with population. Just to see how well, i checked how many people were online during prime time and there was around 4700. Then i created a new character on some other servers with my mule spot and there was less than 3k on each server, some had less than 2500.

      I like your logic.

The average weight for a US male is about 190 lbs. I am significantly above that.

I am significantly better than the average US male. Q.E.D.

We still tell stories about the Febar when we want to scare children. The one about Feba taking them to EVE as space mining slaves has worked the best so far.

Huh? I assume you're referring to me?

More population = better in an MMO that is on the way out. Like it or not, FFXI could die in 3-4 years. I need atleast 2 years to get to where i want to go before the game even really begins. So hopefully by having a jam packed server that will only benefit me in the xp grinds and mission seeking.

No, and this is where you, and the hordes of poor noobs, are all very wrong. Having lots of people to play with in an MMO is great. Makes it much more fun; after all, the point of MMOs is to game with plenty of others. However, the size of vana'diel is perfect for a load of 2500 people at any given time. Much more than that, and you are shooting yourself in the foot. Yeah it's great to see 4k+ people on simultaneously, until you go out to farm, or camp an NM, or hit up sky/sea, or go to merit, or try to harvest/mine, or start a party in the dunes, or try to schedule Dyna runs, etc, etc. More players = more competition = more time taken to farm = less fun (unless you really enjoy farming or happen to be smart and original about where you farm). But it's your monthly fee, play however you want.

Re: Suspension of Character Creation on Bahamut World (Mar. 17)

Too bad i'm not a noob, character name Dracun on the server Ragnarok, Ranger, Ninja, Thief, all 75. Best Ranger gear time/effort/gil can buy. I was in one of the more popular HNM linkshells called Zenmetsu. I deleted my character about a year and a half ago due to not having money to pay for the subscription fee, and i wanted to quit and move on. However, this is the most immersive game i've ever played and i'm back for more. I tried to get my character back, they said it was deleted and i left it at that. I don't care, i like challenges, and i will conquer this challenge. I will once again rule with my Ranger, it's only a matter of time.

No, it's not good that places will be overcamped, NM's will be swarmed, and what not. What is good is that i will be able to find many people xping in my range, and the same people will want to do missions just like me, and theres plenty of them. So let's say on a random Tuesday night, like tonight, i was just on and i searched how many people were online. There were about 2800, on and over populated server that's rather low. I got a party invite as soon as i logged in. Now if i was on some crap server like Kujata or something, there would of been less than 2000 people and i would of never got an invite. It's a win/win and a lose/lose situation at times. Right now, for me it's a definitive win/win. As i'm mainly looking to do things that require a lot of people. So before you go off calling people noobs guys, do your research first. I'm prob one of the least nooby people on these boards. Matter of fact i'll go as far as to say, i'm top 10 best players that ever played this game. I know everything about this game, even in my near 2 year absence, i am still a FF XI Guru. Any questions?

Oh and the guy that continues to make retarded comments, chill bro. We all have opinions. No need for the personal attacks.

Not sure if Feba attacks... He's more like the little voice in your head that talks you into burning down buildings.

I like reading his posts, they crack me up sometimes.

Funny how everyone else also says the same thing.

Welcome to medeocrity, anonymity, and the masses. Noone cares, everyone has multiple 75s, the best gear actually doesn't require too much effort; go stroke your epeen in the corner like the other 48732675438 "Top 10" Ninjas, Thieves, Rangers, etc.

                            The lols!

Yea more is always better until it lags, until you have 3 other parties on your exp camp, until your nm has 10 other campers, until your screen turns into a slideshow, until materials are always run out on guild shops, until you can never join besieged, until your dynamis is never free, and so on and so forth.

How ib FFXI "on the way out" and why do you think more people on a server means getting missions done faster?

I can tell you right now that isn't true. Getting missions done on the Odin server is just as much effort as it was on Titan, if not moreso because people come even more unprepared here. I had to pick up German players on my second go-round on CoPs, they were the only ones serious about getting the missions done and even with the server population it was hard for them to find any fellow Germans and EUs to help them.

Glad I got em on my team, though, it was great.
