'Kitten's bitching, if you could call it that most of the time, at least is normally about other people's bitching and why it's stupid for them to be bitching at this time.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

My point remains valid though; they really made it sound as though the mini-expansions would be completely separate and ready to play upon release. That they delayed the version update to accommodate the expansion is just a little annoying.

Is it the end of the world? Hardly, but I was (mistakenly) under the impression that being mini-expansions, they would be ready to play upon release as there's much less content than what was shipped on CoP or ToAU. I don't think it was unreasonable to expect for these to be ready right away (the interviews with the Dev team gave every indication they would, especially since they're being done by a separate team all together)

What delay? There is a version update around the 3 or 4th month of the year. This is coming in the 4th month of the year. There is no delay so what the hell are you on about.

And what has happened to cause this bitching? I don't see anything that changes that position.

Once again, your jumping to conclusions, along with saying this update is definitely the one for X updates. The dev team said job changes are coming in a future update. As this is most likely not the last update, until its listed in the change log, it may or may not happen.

No, it's not. You're being an idiot, BBQ was just being a hypocrite. I greatly prefer the latter.

Honestly, how is this any different from pretty much every expansion, where you can get yourself registered and ready to go, but the actual ability to access it isn't provided until SE does a server update? It lets people get their stuff together before it hits, and helps to even out the playing field across regions with slightly different release/ship dates (if my store gets it a few days later, I'm not left out nearly so much). Is the only reason you're whining because the update is a few weeks later than you'd like?

I just hope these addons are heavily story based with soloable (at least for RDM) fights onry.

Don't see the need for it, this is a multiplayer game and most, if not all, mission BCs require some group participation. Plus they already this content would scale in difficulty. Since its mainlands content, I don't see a reason for this not to start around 30 and scale up from there.

So you're going to be bitter even though its was heavily emphasized RDM was getting something early in the year?

How about we just assume whatever it is RDM is getting, it already fails in your eyes. That's more your M.O.

Please, are you saying you don't understand why I'm skeptic about SE's future additions to RDM?

Also, you are the only one crazy enough to think just because someone thinks there are things SE could do better or improve that somehow automatically counts as SE failing.

Given RDM doesn't really need anything, I'm pretty secure in knowing that no matter what happens, you'll still be in the backline where you should be in most situations. At least you're prepared to be disappointed, though you wouldn't have been fair about it either way.

Also, you are the only one crazy enough to think just because someone thinks there are things SE could do better or improve that somehow automatically counts as SE failing.
I've not seen one thread in which you have provided constructive, realistic and balanced commentary about what should be added to RDM, much less any worthwhile information about your experience with it. What I have seen is commentary about how SE "fails."

I don't understand how someone can enjoy being so bitter all the time, but I'm glad I don't have to live like that, personally.

                            Speaking of irony.

Besides, just because we want to see something added for RDM that doesn't mean I spent even .01% of my play time thinking about it. But that doesn't mean I'm going to pretend things aren't as good as they could be. You already have that part covered.

Well, clearly RDM isn't as good as it *could* be - it could do as much melee damage as a MNK in addition to everything else it has now.

But that would make it an insanely broken god-job. So SE won't and shouldn't do that.

RDM is probably about as good as it *should* be, in terms of overall power levels; I just think it's a little too dependent on elemental staves, and would like to see a way to preserve spellcasting abilities without those eight despised crutches. (Well, you don't strictly need *all* of them, but you know what I mean.) All mages, and especially RDMs, would be better off if they had never been introduced and SE had adjusted magic accuracy, resist rates, and hMP in other ways over the years instead, and I'm not just talking about the 8 inventory space.

None of that has much to do with ACP though - it's hard to tell much about it from a few screenshots, except for recognizing a few particular NPCs.

It would be really nice if SE made skill have a more dramatic impact on debuff acc/effect (enough to render staves obsolete for non-nuking RDMs.)

But yeah that has nothing to do with these addon scenarios. It's just that sometimes I get dragged into BBQ's world.
