Yeah, I know, and I have to apologize for that. Of course, considering that the next update apparently concerns Red Mages (finally), the griping is likely to be about the fact that we're even getting an update in the first place. Ah, well, you can't please everybody.

Believe it or not, that's usually exactly how it goes whenever a change to RDM is even hinted at.

This is from other RDMs, too, even, although, I don't like to think of them as RDMs, since a lot of them could just as well be considered WHM or THF mains, anyway.

I'll be honest. I would MUCH rather see them give thief a boost than to see them do anything to Red Mage.

Just what is thief supposed to be? A Damage Dealer? Not according to the numbers I push out. A hate controller? Oh, please! That's like saying that a Ranger's primary function is to Bind the mob! A puller? Ok, I'll give you that one, that thieves make good pullers for most non-merit situations...

I understand why they're giving Red Mage a change (It's about due. Not EVERY change is meant to fix something that's broken, after all, and Rdm and Whm haven't had anything new in far too long by that reasoning) But, it's the truth when I say that a lot of other jobs need a boost more than Red Mage does.

Not meaning to derail the topic. Has anybody heard of anyone getting banned from Cait Sith yet?

I thought our job in dynamis was to die over and over again and again for no apparent reason other than "You're the thief."

BRDs should be Dynamis pullers, given their EXP is FAR more disposable that than the EXP of most other jobs.

RDM isn't really getting an update because they're due one, though, they're being given one so they'll shut up about it

WHM is the real DD of the two, so I'm going to still invite RDMs to backline

In this case, we were "duping" inexchangeable equipment that we all worked hard to get and it only seemed to correct the game, not inbalance it. It was patched within 48 hours of the first idiot making a public post on gamefaqs, they probably weren't aware of it until then.. unless you wanted them to give a warning 48 hours prior to patching it or after patching it but before the actual bans then you're expecting too much. Sure, some people probably reported it to GMs before then and there was a very old bg post that accidentally duped chariot drops(and concluded it wasn't repeatable intentionally), but what's to say the GMs reported it to a higher-up and the people in charge knew about it?

I'm not defending cheaters, but good grief...

...some people are just morons. Talking in front of the devs about a glitch you're exploiting? Why not just call a GM and ask him to close your account, and save them the trouble of tracking you down?

Bring back the QQ cheaters. I like reading their ridiculous posts about how duping items is no different than a BST soloing or a NIN tanking. Because... it's no different at all... at alllll
