    I don't know about the asking for help issue, but I have noticed that between hearing from some of the people here, and my in game experience there are quite a few military men/women that play FFXI.

      I seem to hear it more often than most people I guess. Was in a newbie party last night and after 30 mins a guy goes "sorry guys I need to go, my commander needs me." To which someone said something about that and he said he was overseas in the military. Repeat similar statements in 75% of the pts I get and it makes me wonder. FFXI must be REALLY popular in the military! lol

        Yes it is! Think about how much time some of these soldiers have to kill when they are deployed in some place that is totally dead when it comes to activities. My best friend got into this game while he was stationed at a prison in Iraq and upon his return, he saw fit to get me hooked too LOL. Simply put, FFXI is a great way to kill some time for some of these soldiers.

            Funny thing is........the best Sky LS I had was lead by an existing drill sargeant in the Army =P


            So back on topic, anyone know if this was just the first wave of perma and temp bannings?

                      I took up this game when I was in the military. I started playing it because a friend of mine (also in) told me about it.

                      Yeah, it is a good thing for those in the military because you have long boughts of nothing to do in between short bouts of frantic work

                          So fucking true, If I had a laptop that would run FFxi, I'd probably go to the free wi-fi that's around the base, and play a few times a week, but I don'ts so I just come here and bug ya'll. It's almost as fun

                              For realz though, i'm probably gonna get one of those new gateway's from bestbuy. And then....download ffxi from direct-2-drive. Just did my taxes, and I got back a couple grizand, so there's that. But I really wanted to wait for the core i7 to come out. also BAN HAMMER! so as not to de-rail this epic thread.
