That's a lot of money ... too much for me to spend on something like that.

We did have a really great chat with the EUs in linkshell about what size that was (inches vs. centimeters), and how that compared to average ... um ... things. Not quite sure how that one got started but ... was hilarious during Nid camp.

Actually very few FF collectibles go up in price. I am an avid collector and I've put tens of thousands of dollars into items and if I sold it all today I'd be lucky to get 1/3 of that. There are factors that figure in like the popularity of the game of course. To some FFXI is a fond memory and to others its "huh what?". This statue used to sell for $150+ and now you can get them for $60-$70:

I really hope SE goes into a fuller line of these; with a large price range. Might not be figureprints, but I'd still like to have a few nice, small FFXI figures on my desk as a memento.

But SE, if you do make figureprints, you better fucking make a way for us to just decide what models to use. No way in hell I'm coming back just to dress up my taru so I can give you YET MORE MONEY.

Well I own quite a few statues and other pieces of Final Fantasy merchandise. I've always been satisfied with the quality of the pieces. One of the pieces that actually did increase in value was this one:

This is cold cast of the death scene from FFVII and I've been offered 5 times what I paid for it. There are a set of vinyl figures they did for FFVIII, but vinyl is more forgiving than cold cast. None the less, they are gorgeously done and great quality:
