With the release of each version update, Vana'diel continues its transformation into an ever more adventurer-friendly realm. In staying true to this tradition, the development team is working hard on a host of adjustments and additions that will allow our players to focus on what they do best: adventuring!

    Chariot, Empress, and Emperor Bands

To date, recharging these items required that adventurers call upon guard NPCs located within designated conquest areas and towns. Depending on their current job level, however, adventurers may find these areas to be a considerable time and distance away from their current base of operation. To address this inconvenience, West Aht Urhgan and Past Vana'diel are scheduled to be added to the list of rechargeable locations for the bands. The price of the service in these new locations will be consistent with that of existing areas.

    Treasure Coffers and Chests

That these mysterious containers house an assortment of highly sought-after items such as artifacts and maps is no secret. Such is their popularity among adventurers that those who seek them wishing to acquire the aforementioned items are often left frustrated by others who have different spoils, namely miscellaneous items and gil, in mind. The December version update will see the respawn time for coffers and chests significantly cut specifically for those in the hunt for items such as artifacts and maps.

    Jeuno

Recent adventurer lifestyle-related improvements made to town areas have focused mainly on the three nations. In light of current adventuring trends in Aht Urhgan and the recent influx of new adventurers, the spotlight has been cast once more upon Jeuno. Adventurers can look forward to the following changes during their visits to the duchy following the December version update:
    - The sales tax imposed on bazaars will be abolished in all areas of the duchy.
    - Teleportation to Aht Urhgan Whitegate will be available for mercenaries via the Salaheem's Sentinels representative NPC in Upper Jeuno.

Awesome. I love all the little convenience stuff like this.

And so Rolanberry Mall/Batallia Bazaar finally closes it's doors? Although I doubt that will change, it was nice not having as much lag in Jeuno from all the AFK bazaarers sitting around. I'll wait and see how that one plays out after December...

The direct warp from Jeuno to Whitegate shortens travel time yet again. Never a bad thing. Best base of operations is still your home nation, however. Mog House Home Point: incredibly hard to beat.

Of course this says the price will be the same. Hopefully it will stay in Conquest Points and not Imperial Standing or Allied Notes. (Although it would be awesome since i have plentiful Allied Notes and IS but little CP.)

                    Woot!

I don't much think the coffer thing is necessary anymore, but I guess it can't hurt.

I love the band charges though...........now I won't have to worry about forgetting to get a recharge.

I may set my home point into jeuno now, but still kind of iffy........as there's no direct warp to Windurst by doing so.

                        LOL. Highly sought-after. That's funny!

Maybe if there was something more than 3k in most chests this change would help. Finding chests and coffers for AF isn't too difficult these days. Nothing compared to what it used to be like trying to get a piece of AF from a Castle Oztroja coffer back in the day!

The other little updates look to be convenient. I'm still going to go to Windy to recharge my band though. Can't waste my IS on such a thing. It's actually valuable, unlike conquest points.

Have you ever popped a coffer for gil? Most give 8-12k. Boyahda Tree and Kuftal Tunnel certainly do, and it's not like those zones are ever empty with the people skilling up or BSTs soloing. I can get a Kuftal or Boyahda coffer key in half an hour just skilling up (and I certainly do look for the coffer when I get the key, because it's a free 10k just for skilling up.) The other 10 people killing crabs certainly are getting keys as well.

It's true that they're not nearly as sought-after as in the old Astral Ring days but the potential for waiting is certainly there, and I consider it pretty bad design that profit and critical items drop from the same coffers. Some random person wanting to cash in his coffer key for money shouldn't make a Level 50-60 anything wait 20-30 minutes for a coffer repop to get AF. I can understand competition between people getting AF, but not between AF and profit.

no you will be paying the same amount to recharge them, but in the corresponding points of the NPC you are doing it at. I mean really why would an NPC in whitegate or nation's past, want CP from you?

I totally disagree. I hope they charge IS in Whitegate and AN in the past. I have so much AN, I want a way to use it up. I'd like to see normal Warp Scrolls and Reraise Scrolls (not just the temporary during-this-battle-only kind) sold for AN at some point.
