Okay, okay. I rarely post, but everyone just wait and see. Stop the bit^&*n, and relax. I do not have much faith in SE keeping promises, but everything about the update should be a happy moment. SE is still doing something after all these years. Yes! They make millions off of us loyal players. Although those are the breaks. Flame me if you must but come on everyone just wait it out.

Yeah, being able to Refresh + Haste whore WHILE main healing at the same time! An art, I'm sure!

Refreshing, Hasting, Curing, Enfeebling and Magic Bursting is an art.

The stuff you mentioned, not so much, but still a fair bit of work.

Need I remind you that S-E has perfectly well fulfilled at least 17 other promises, even ever since only last year's FanFest alone?!? (19 counting jobs that weren't even in existence yet at that time!)

I'm a RDM and the lack of updates don't really bother me much, the job is Ok for me.

Keeping the party going so that we can endlessly chain and get maximum amounts of limit points in minimum time is fairly difficult. I was a replacement RDM for a guy in my dyna LS's party because their original RDM was unable to keep up with it. It does actually require some bit of skill. Not just from the RDM, mind you, but the other members of the party.

I use every aspect of my RDM in this game. I use melee for farming/skilling up/lesser NM camping. I use healing for meriting. Enfeebling for anything higher than a sky god. Elemental for duo/solo ENM and even higher tier NMs that might need just a bit more damage to be finished off. Movement debuffs for kiting. Crowd control. Some of these things overlap. One of the best things about playing RDM is that you have to absolutely understand the subtle changes in the situation which then dictate what you do next. There is no other job in this game that's more versatile. NONE. It's absolutely fine the way it is.

Now, that being said, sure I'd like new stuff. But it's not like we're severely hurting for new spells/abilities. Personally, if I had to say, I'd say give us Tier 2 Enspells, which won't break ANYTHING about the job but will give us something new to play with.

I'm not in the "OMG RDM GETS SHIT ON EVERY UPDATE" camp. I enjoy it the way it is. It's really a very powerful and versatile job if you play it right, and let's be honest. A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T. Shit, half the time I'm on WHM I want to change to RDM just to put the RDM I'm stuck with out of his misery. lol.

Every time a job gets updated, you benefit since you could potentially be playing that job, too.

I'm just ticked because (and Armando is prolly right about it being yet another bad translation, hence the traditional ninja-edit) job updates were promised, and even noted in a previous interview (everyone but PUP was supposed to get something) and now they've rescinded that.

This will still be the best update evar, but new shinies woulda been nice and it's not cool to tease us like that SE.

While you're at it find someone who reacts well to pretty much being told they that can't level their main anymore until they find someone else who is actually willing to help out on a level cap quest because the only person who was willing to help out after a 3 week search is unavailable for another month.

Yeah, um, you never asked me... So don't go saying that's the only person that would ever help you if you asked. Don't act like I haven't been on either.

Forgive me, I just started lvling pup, and i've since fallen in love with it, 25pup at the moment, but i'm curious as to what you meant? All jobs BUT pup were supposed to get updates/upgrades? I had just never seen any info on this (definetly not saying your wrong, just wanting to know more details basically).

I mean the experience points update pretty much makes pup even more B.A. but i have noticed that gear wise pup has shit until around lvl 60+...sorta...anyway, any clarification would be hella appreciated.

The update time means that I have less than 2 hours to do my 60 cap from start to finish or wait a whole fucking month before the person helping me out is free again.

Ok, I'll concede the fact that even I'm wanting for a direct Rdm update (It's getting up to a year since SE alluded to it).

However there's plenty to chew on this update, so I'm not necessarily complaining at this point. I like this update.

But on the same key, I'm not going to let SE forget their promise.


Very good job, from what we can know now... but I'm still wanting more. (I'm a greedy person that way.)

Anyway, the only thing that I really regularly go 'Why doesn't RDM have this?' is a staff skill. I mean, what type of mage doesn't know how to bop things on the head with a staff? It's possible that I just don't have much of an imagination though.
