It's a very sensible time. It's the least impactful on the largest portion of their playerbase (which happens to not be EU).

They could have start it a few hours earlier or later considering that it goes from 3am-9am JP time. Who the heck finds time to play this game at 9 in the morning?

The update time means that I have less than 2 hours to do my 60 cap from start to finish or wait a whole fucking month before the person helping me out is free again.

I recall someone posting the census charts when this came up before, apparently they schedule these updates to start right around the lowest point on the average login chart, presumably to minimize the number of people it kicks off the system before they were finished.

Find where I blamed SE for that. Or better yet find me a boss that will let me skip a day of work to play a video game. While you're at it find someone who reacts well to pretty much being told they that can't level their main anymore until they find someone else who is actually willing to help out on a level cap quest because the only person who was willing to help out after a 3 week search is unavailable for another month.

SE doesn't change what they should, changes what doesn't matter and forgets about stuff they promised midway without letting anyone know they dropped the feature. Then they add a thing or two they never spoke about that makes people forget about the other stuff for a while.

So yeah, SE's credibility (at least for me) is pretty low, if not close to zero.

Are you saying that the changes to Dynamis weren't needed? That the entry fees being lowered weren't needed? That the tweaks to Alexandrites and Nyzul Assault aren't needed?

The Level Sync feature was a surprise and a pleasent one at that. The merits to SCH and DNC may be expected, but if I can merit my strategem recast down (or even just certain strategems) that's a major adjustment to me.

Seriously, though, Raydeus is the only one who's being totally unappreciative of this update: I love how it's turning out just as-is, and is already pretty much a contender for best update ever.

It's just that . . . even bothering to give Red Mages a mention of some sort would have cinched it.

You're no different then anyone else, so be careful where you point that finger. This update benefits some so they're happy. Others were hoping for other changes so they're not. No one looks past the end of their own nose so if they're happy everyone should be, if they're not, no one should be.

This update gives you something so you're happy. If you played RDM you'd be right there decrying every update as a personal slight.

Nah, I've liked a lot of stuff about this update. Just don't believe what SE says about their plans anymore, which was the point of my post.

Best part is I never mentioned RDM at all, but the voices told BBQ a completely different story.

I accounted for YM before you, who we all know will play the RDM card though he's not far enough to experience the real nuances of the job.

And YM is partially right, only you and Malacite are the ones crying about the update so far.

This update gives you something so you're happy. If you played RDM you'd be right there decrying every update as a personal slight

I tend to play more jobs than just RDM, though I play it as well, so I get to benefit from many of the updates, practically every last one this year. If you only play one or two jobs, I can't say I feel much sympathy in you feeling "left out" because you have the ability to play any job in this game. Every time a job gets updated, you benefit since you could potentially be playing that job, too.
