This is awesome! Now I can finally party with my LS and get exp. It would be fun revisiting the dunes or Qufim Island again. Who knows, we might even go old school and create a SC + MB party.

I can only think of two possible way this could be bad:

1) All the invites for the support classes and tanks. (PLD, NIN, WHM, RDM, etc.) WHM in Whitegate recieves 20 invites asking if you want to party in the dunes. When you politely say no, then you are cursed out and called a noob.

I think SE needs to increase the cap for /blist, I can see mine will fill up fast.

2) As for partying in lower areas, mathematically speaking, would you only gain 1 level(assuming you are around level 70) as your party in the dunes gained 9-10 levels or 20-25(I cant look up the total exp needed from level 10-20 or 20-25)?

Edit: The price of some low level L33t gear is going to drop as people are going to sell there off. This is awesome, I and going to farm a crapload of gil and buy the low level L33t gear for the jobs I am going to level next.

Better question sis this. Are the Devs listening to us. Or have they simply ran out of their own ideas? Now only if E.P fought like E.P and my Bst didn't mischarm with 69+100chr on a d/c mob....

OMG I hope S-E does this right, our small LS has been begging and yearning for a feature like this since I started playing 2.5 years ago. This is gonna be so awesome, no more taking mules out cause nothing is left sub 20 ^^

This is the most awesome fucking thing I've heard since I returned. I can party with my brother and his friends *on my summoner* now, without having to go raise up some other job, and help them when they can't get a hold of any other jobs.

1st case scenario:

lv30 PT with two 75s in it.

1 Everyone's gonna DIE! WHM uses benediction, yay everyone's happy, WHM QQs.
2 Monk un-syncs, becomes uber punchy machine lv75.
3 WHM CFH.
4 Monk wins.
5 WHM touches Monk in private place.
6 Monk waits for 30 second delay to pass, syncs again, and is satisfied.

2nd case scenario:

1 RNG pulls a link.
2 Monk un-syncs.
3 ... get the point?

3rd case scenario:

1 RNG pulls KING OF ALL GOBLINS
2 DRG dies.
3 Monk laughs.
4 Monk un-syncs... does all the work again.
5 Monk laughs.
6 Party laughs.
7 DRG still lost the exp tho, QQs.
8 Party laughs, the other nearby party laughs, DRG's linkshell laughs, dead goblin laughs.
9 Monk re-syncs.

There is a 30 second delay.....a lot can happen in 30 seconds dear. LOL

As far as this goes, yes its great and I'm happy. I will use this and I know my husband and son will too. There are often times they wish we could party when we are leveling other jobs but our levels don't permit it. On the downside, I don't think this will be a huge deal to most people. At first you'll see people trying it out and laughing about how cool it is and then the novelty will wear off. The people that will use this will be ones that have friends/family in game or are in a nice ls that helps out their members. Other than that a good chunk of the elitests won't even bother with it.

Kinda don't get this. Explain this guys:

"This means that players will now be able to participate in various battlefields, Assault missions, and Ballista, and also to adventure in level-capped areas such as Riverne without the hassle of having to switch equipment!"

"* Level Sync cannot be used in areas or events where a separate level restriction already applies."

This means to me that Level Sync can't be used in level restricted areas BUT........it can.....

From my Bard's perspective, this is both good and bad.

The Good:
Playing Bard when it was super fun, and I can choose what level range I want to exp in. No more getting flogged if chain 50 in a meritpo isn't happening--because I hate meriting on Bard and I'll never have to do it again if I don't want to. AND I don't have to worry about /nin ever again in exp with my Bard.

The Bad:
I'm going to have to run around /anon FOREVER, because with anyone 10 and higher able to invite, I see Bard's going into hiding everywhere. Just imagine all the people ignoring /seacom's now...


But from a general perspective I'm really really excited about this. My husband is in the game about 4 times more than I am, and now I won't ever have to worry about him not having any jobs in my level range. He'll have no more excuses, when I want to exp with him! *cackles*

This means to me that Level Sync can't be used in level restricted areas BUT........it can.....

I'm reading this as: The toggle for level sync cannot be turned on or off if the level cap is already in place, since the game will be doing that for you. Otherwise, the pictures of characters in the Crags with AF don't make sense. I'm reading it as, if the level cap is already 40, you can sync down to 35 to make floor one of a crag a great place to level up. On the other hand, floor one of the crag would be the only place you'd actually want to sync down, since most of the other capped areas are pretty good exp if you can wander in in full AF or Relics.


Also, I'm still concerned about WHMs "holy crapping" all over my floor... were you people raised in a barn?

There are always times when that last member or two you need is either higher or lower in lvl then your party. This system opens up the limit to pretty much be able to include anyone. When you're desperate for invites, I doubt anyone will hesitate to invite that guy who's 5 lvls over your highest. Especially now that special gear isn't needed for being lvl capped.

Actually, a member of my LS asked the same exact thing in the same exact way on my LS site. It basically means I can use my lvl 75 gear in Promyvions. While we can't synch to a lower lvl character under a lvl capped mission, our gear is still usable as if we were synched.

Aka, no more gear specifically for capped events.

Finally something worth it! Say good-bye to all the low level gear people (like me) saves just for capped fights. Unless of course scaled down gear is weaker than the proper lvl gear that is.

I wonder if (and how) this will affect the economy.
