All those daggers you mention are lvl 70+ unless you are counting Hornet, and the swords are ok, just need a better native WS for it.

What I don't agree with is the notion of RDM requiring more DD gear, not at all. What RDM needs IMO is Tier II enspells and other magic related tools to do more DoT like Poison III. Which is why I'd rather see our native acc increased (although we have access to decent acc gear here) rather than relying on att/str for it.

Not at all, but if they gave SAM Gravity and Bind and said that being a DD shouldn't be their sole definition I'd be pretty pissed. I'm more saying that I'm very happy with RDM's current skillset, yes more melee prowess would be nice, but being nice and being in dire need are two different things.

Sorry Ray, I can't read your mind. You say you want your dagger-wielding to be better and you meant it. I didn't know how you meant it. but regardless...

I just want RDMs to have a reason to enfeeble again. ._.

I really think the new WSs will be good. I think S-E is through with giving us worthless toys and they know that even the Relic WSs are often underwhelming. My only problem is the 'bbq problem on this one: adding WSs to make jobs the same. Whatever jobs didn't get a WS already turned into Rampage (I'm looking at you, Penta Thrust) will likely get a new version of Rampage. Useful, sure. But so unoriginal. Let's see a monk WS that causes short-term Amnesia on target! Give us a BLU WS that basically inflicts Bad Breath on target!

Re: The Myriad Arms of Balrahn, cont. (07/29/2008)

I would have been ecstatic with a native Vorpal Blade, lol. That said, even a really potent Poison effect, or Defense/Evasion down would be cool for Death Blossom.

Really I see where all of this is going. S-E waves Murgleis around in my face, and I of course say, "It's nice, but Excalibur is better." This plants a seed deep down in my brain that I'd really like an Excalibur. To worsen the matter, the attestation NM in Glacier drops Attestation of Glory inevitably drops before Attestation of Invulnerability since we actually need AoI(Great Sword dropped on our first one). This causes me to just say Eff It and go for Excalibur. I begin farming and crafting incessantly, lose my job, my g/f, and my friends in the process, until one day I have a shiny Excalibur.

          And it's friggin' sweet.

If we aren't using our A+ skill, why do we skip past our B skills to go straight to our C- skill?

Something's wrong no matter how you slice it.

That's one of my favorite parts about War, I have at least three different WS with Gaxe that are highly useful at 75 depending on the situation. RR for weaker mobs like in EXP or short fights, Steel Cyclone for big things that need as much power in one punch as I can get and Full Break for, well, anything and everything. Sadly all Axes give me is Rampage...and Mistral if the mob tries to run...

when i saw "Enhances "Convert" effect" listed for Murgleis effect i nearly fainted it's like a super joytoy, you know rdm everywhere will be killing for this, you know i would kill for this

but i would kill for an A- sword skill so that's not saying much

and then the whm version is listed to give permininet divine veil o.o the pure awsomeness

so will the other jobs relics be full of awsome or macro in for those jobs who don't need TP?

S-E's not going to give me anything stronger than Vorpal Blade, and debuffing isn't very Paladin-ish. Here are my demands for a PLD-only WS: a WS that either gives me a Magic Damage Reduction buff or a really short Runic buff (i.e. using WS will grant a 5-second status that'll turn the next offensive spell that hits me into MP.) Anything else will just be "meh."

Keep in mind PLD will have a totally different WS than RDM, we were speculating on Death Blossom, lol. PLD shouldn't get another Vorpal anyways since they already have Vorpal and Swift.

Add: While you're right that debuffing isn't exactly a PLD thing, honestly I'd love an Additional Effect: Silence WS as PLD sometimes, lol.

Yeah, I would kill for a Silence WS but I seriously doubt that's gonna happen.

Actually I would be happy just to get a Light-elemental WS that breaks 400 damage unresisted @ 100 TP without MAB.

I could honestly see Death Blossom as a RDM variation of Swift Blade. If we're lucky, it will have an added effect of Magic Resistance Down (and combine that with the Aftermath of the Murgleis!).

Meanwhile, about the Smashing Disco Ball of Doom PLD gets, I could honestly see that as a Shield Break effect. Maybe for massive damage @300, too. Or maybe the ability to cancel an opponent's Soul Voice? >_>

Savage Gekko (サバジ月光), Vorpal Gekko (ボ-パル月光) or Swift Gekko (スイフト月光).

Or SE could simply give PLD Runic as a JA and make it similar to Hasso/Seigan/Velocity shot.

I'd rather see the aftermath be a straight up damage % down (magic and physical) for 30s (a mini-invincible maybe? Not total immunity obviously but a good chunk of damage reduction)

Spirits Within +1, damage proportional to DEF rating.

                              Damage: 100 TP (DEF x1.0), 200 TP (DEF x1.5), 300 TP (DEF x2.0)

Edit > This is for the Spirits Within +1 WS I'd like to see. It would take your current DEF and do that amount of dmg, with a posibility to get resisted up to maybe 1/2 dmg.

Then VIT and MND stats would reduce that Resistance rate.

Those mods fail because they do jack squat at 100 TP (no buff) and 300 TP (overkill.)
