Kitalrez, I hadn't thought about Elementals, but that actually makes some sense. You're obviously projecting some form of Thunder spirit (hence the name) and not just harnessing thunder (as with Black Magic) into a form. Of course, because they have no real intelligence, they would basically act on instinct and protect it's 'mother' and such. You can learn how to summon them without making any agreement.
With something like Bahamut, it would know very well what the situation was, because it DOES have intelligence. It could use Giga Flare on everything in the area (including your party), scoff and fly away, decide to help you fight, or backfire and start assaulting your party. It could instantly drain the SMN's MP and leave, or it could decide to perpetuate itself and leave the SMN's MP bar (and cease to be it's pet) entirely. Add something very random and uncontrollable into the mix.
As an example of the above, imagine you're having a hard time killing something. To try to kill it dead, your SMN takes a gamble and calls Bahamut. He breaks off the SMN and perpetuates himself, and becomes another mob you have to fight (very much like if a BST fails charm) or run away from.
The Nyzul weapons don't have stats... To me that means that SE is well aware that we would mine the .dats to know whether we wanted them or not, and to counter that...
They have made all of the effects, Hidden Effects so that no one will know what they do for a long, long time.
Nifty
Keep in mind this is just speculation, but hey... Why would you make a cool, hard-to-get weapon do nothing but damage. Besides... Murgleis (RDM Sword) is weaker than Mensur Epee without any hidden effects on it. Speculation, speculation.
Oh and this...
Naglering....
I used to use one of those to get more stuff in a different game.
Also people apparently want more nudity-related items.
Indeed they could be that as well, but they said we'd have 'em and they didn't say the left that part out even though they said they left out the Chocobo Circuit swamp thing, so I'm still thinkin' Hidden Effect.
* Physician NPCs have been introduced to Campaign battles as a way of bolstering the defensive end of combat. These NPCs will provide both healing and enhancement magic to any friendly troops in their vicinity.
I am actually glad for this. I am tired of being dead while WHM are too busy fighting on top of my dead body.
Man, servers are getting slammed ATM. I tried to download the update, 11 files in everything locked up and refused to move. That's after 20-30 tries just to get it to log in long enough to check files. (Wish they saved that somewhere on your machine, that's a long file check/update).
