      No one's bitching yet. We better get that changed pronto.

      Is anyone else afraid this is going to be too easy? I hate go-fetch quests. This could get to become quite bland.

      Ok, done bitching. Oddly, I think I'm one of those few people that S-E's actually right about. I want the fight. I want the drops on the 2nd-4th run. But just getting to do the fight really is exciting. I'm happy to see this happening.

        If this means I can work on quests to earn points to get Joy and Enhancing kind of items eventually without all the crap involved on fighting the regular NMs then count me in.

        Getting the PLD Iron Ram pieces of gear took me a while considering the amount of time I have to play on weekedays, but at least I knew every battle put me closer to getting the items. Which is way better than having to camp a stupid NM for hours or days without knowing if I would even be able to claim it or get enough help to kill it when and if it decided to spawn (which is why I never bothered with Joy).


        Edit > Not to mention this probably wont replace regular NMs at all as I expect the time required to get points will be way more than simply camping the NMs normally (for people with the time for it). But for players without that many hours to play in a row it will be great. Or at least I hope so.

          I think they still need to announce 2 or 3 more epic win things to cover the nerf a few of us are hoping they make.

          (0.9 xp-modifier and +10% HP on Imp/Colibri families, for those not keeping up with the meleeburn/trad-party/"viable"-merit-camp flamewar in other threads; taking sanction xp bonus from 5%/10%/15% to 3%/6%/9% might be another possibility)

            "*Please note that this point system is applicable only to select new NMs scheduled to appear from the June version update." This system only applies to new NMs so don't think any existing NMs will be poppable... but hopefully the rewards are similar or better to the current equip sets and not items with ridiculous latents...

              Yes, but they also said some of these NMs would be of similar calibur to Sky/Sea NMs. Also, not all latent gear is bad, some of it is quite useful if you know how to use it properly.

              Overall, this sounds like a good system and hopefully the requests you must take to obtain points are reasonable and varied, even if its a lengthy process. If it leads to HNM-quality fights without the boredom mixed with drama that is camping kings, I'm all for this.

                Note I didn't say all latent gear is bad I said ridiculous latents... like please nothing related to moon phase or like 100 hp/tick poison... and similar caliber to Sky/Sea doesn't mean the same exact NMs but probably same difficulty level... it clearly says it only applies to new NMs that will appear in the june update, which they stated so that people won't think this is a new system for ALL NMs. Don't know why that's so hard to grasp...

                It's definitely a good system even if the stuff you have to do for the NPC involves running around or turning in 20x wivre hides or something... better than camping stuff... but yea i'm just hoping that even just some of the equipment is worthwhile. This is a good sign that SE is finally trying out something other than 21-24 hour random pop NMs....

                  This change is ONLY going to affect the new ToAU HNMs, in effect this will be their Gods and Jailers.

                    Or maybe old items (Like Ray's Joyeuse) will drop from these new monsters. Sorta the reverse of the rare/ex NM drop change thing.

                      You and Ziero are the only ones assuming we were hoping this was a replacement for Kings. Not so, we're simply hoping some of the new equipment and the fights themselves are comprable.

                        Wait, what? Where the hell did I even mention kings? ToAU already has it's own "Kings" so why the hell would I hope they're replacing anything.

                        What I DID say, is that these things will be to ToAU as the Jailers and Gods were to CoP and ZM. Meaning that I guarentee that there will be a few of these monsters that you will need to kill to get items to pop more of these monsters in a long chain of NM battles to get to the strongest mobs who drop the best stuff. And that the long bitched over Pup/Cor/Blu gear will be found within these fights.

                          You seemed rather keen on emphasising this applied only to ToA and the June update Well, no shit Sherlock, we all just read that a little while ago. Give us a little credit.

                          You also seem to be jumping to a lot of your own conclusions, such as ToA relic being rewards. This is a stark contrast to others speculating comprable drops to kings or other high tier NMs.

                                I never said anything about kings either... and i'm hoping the same thing, I just replied because I thought someone said they can now work on points to get joyeuse or something.. I guess I misread that.
