You also seem to be jumping to a lot of your own conclusions, such as ToA relic being rewards. This is a stark contrast to others speculating comprable drops to kings or other high tier NMs.
Why yes, I am emphasising that this will only be applied to ToAU stuff, as someone specifically said they thought this could help them get a Joytoy and Enhancing Sword and yes I do think that relic items may drop from these mobs as it will be a new way to obtain them specifically for those jobs. I personally never mentioned kings and certainly didn't suggest anything replacing anything.

And again, I was saying that this combat system will be closer to Sea and Sky fights as opposed to Kings and Wyrms because it seems to be the only thing ToAU is missing. ZM has Dynamis, CoP has Limbus, ToAU has Salvage/Nyzul/Einh. ZM has the Kings, CoP has the Wyrm, ToAU has Cerb/Khim/Hydra. And ZMs have Sky, CoP has Sea and ToAU has...no specific tiered, forced pop, sequential HNM battle system. So I'm assuming and speculating (which I have every right to do) that this will be it.

So how is me specifically saying this will be ToAU's version of Sky/Sea mobs me "assuming we were hoping this was a replacement for Kings"?

Please reread this. It does NOT say that the mobs will only be ToAU mobs, only that they will be added in that area. You may surmize that they will only be those mobs, but that is not what it is saying.

Even in this statement they make reference to SKY mobs.

I guess you can always argue the wording since they didn't specifically say New NMs never before seen in FFXI. But even when they added NMs from other places in Nyzul they specifically stated that they were NMs found in other parts of the Vanadiel...

Again, because you were so eager to point out this was ToA-only when allusions to kings came up.

You are assuming these fights will be tiered, for all we know, this could follow the ENM structure. You get a quest, you fufill it, you get to do the fight for rewards. These fights could have key items or triggers put toward other "requests" from this NPC, but we do not know that yet. Wait and see.

Also, if ToA Relic is included in this, its nice but not needed. We just got two new jobs that are going to need relic armor too, wouldn't it be a lot better to pair up ToA/WotG relic armors into an endgame event with armor for other jobs that all could participate in? I'll surely do this if relic was included, but I'm not getting my hopes up since ToA/WotG AF was practically AF+1 on release.

Malacite, the haidate isn't hard to obtain as it is. Now if you don't do sky, then really have no way to complain. There is also the barbarosa's (sp) legs that are also very easy to get and a good alternative but for even more jobs. That and well, you can come buy a pair from me we capped =(

The only person who mentioned kings was you and I wasn't even responding to your comments. There was no "allusions to kings" other then you saying they were drama filled. You're seeing things that just aren't there.

And yes I'm assuming there will be tiered fights here. Even ENMs have tiered fights. How is speculating that a bad thing exactly? Why is it a point of complaint? Are we not allowed to discuss what we may think this system will work like?

And no, I do not think the WoTG jobs should get their relics as soon as the ToAU jobs, nor do I think they're needed at all. Hell, a lot of gear in this game isn't "needed" but it gets added anyway. So I'm not seeing your point here either. But people want them and SE seems to try hard to give people what they want.

Maybe they'll somehow make these an incentive to complete the ToAU missions for some sort of area access. I mean, what would you get out of completing those missions anyway? A new ring and an e-peen item.

That, or maybe it's just my lack of interest to complete ToAU. Who knows. Although this looks neat. The gear on the left looks interesting IMO, as well as the SAM armor.

                  Storyline and captain's rank?

And the gear on the left is Iron Ram gear as far as I can tell, though the sword is definately new.

So those posts about Kings by Sevv and Lilith are just all in my head, eh? Lilith's hopes were expressed in an edit note. Read before reply, kthx.

Sevv was making a joke and I didn't even see Lilith's comment, but again, neither of them have anything to do with what my comments said. So I still don't see any kind of connection between my comments and the kings. If anything, it reinforces the reason why I stated that this change will only affect new ToAU mobs because other's assumed it would have something to do with kings.

So please, tell me why you assumed that I had any intention of this being about the kings when the only two people to even make a serious comment about them were you and lilith?

Joy and Enhancing kind of Items. Kind of items. Kind of. As in similar to something else. So this whole argument is moot. Drop it kplzthx.

I really don't like Sky that much. I haven't been doing it all that long, but it's really not fun @ all. Also because of how sporadic my participation is (due mainly to changing work schedules) it's gonna take me quite a while to rack up enough LS points to lot on it.

I don't like sky much, either. I think this has more to do with the fact that there's very little for me to do there as far as Boss drops are concerned, rather than that I don't enjoy the scenery/killing. I'm a SMN, arcana killing is all about us and DRKs. Once you get your pop items though, I get to sit around and lose exp for a batch of items I don't even need. It would be nice if they could reshuffle RoZ drops a bit, make it worthwhile taking on sky bosses. Dalmatica really isn't important for a lot of mages these days, we have Nobles, or YinYang, or the like. It'd be nicer if the drops from this expansion were sprinkled around more with the drops from CoP. They're basically the same endgame, just different areas.

Endgame really does need a rework though, and I hope this is a test phase for new stuff.

I'm seriously tempted to come back now from wow, these updates are so unSE like its shocking. Sounds like they are listening to the player base finally.

I quit raiding in wow recently, so if arena does not keep me happy I'm going to give ffxi another go. I hope its not too hard to find a LS to do end game with, Black Temple experience should mean something coming back
