      MNK's kick update is interesting, it would be nice if the kicks under this JA follow the 2-handed weapon rules~

        Id like to have seen a complete overhaul to merits. We need eva, parry and shield to have there own cats. We need more allowance to upgrade more weapons to cap. Same could be said for spells.

        Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

              There is no combat merit in killing babies.

                    I was kinda hoping to see a magic skill merit increase to at least match combat skill, but everything else sounds great.

                    Maybe as of this update, I'll dust off BRD again if the new JA is good enough.

                      Personally, I'm really psyched about Overwhelm 5/5, Chivalry 5/5, and Slow II 5/5 atm ^ ^

                      Going to expect merit spots to be packed in the comming months. Well . . at least there is campaign battle ^ ^ 5k/hr isn't tooo bad.

                      I'm wonder what the recast on the BRD's new JA is though.

                            [Insert obligatory 'no rdm meleez update!?' statement here]

                            Liking the raise on the merit cap. Though, now I'm uncertain how to pool my RDM merits again. Slow II at 39% is hot, but every RDM's gonna have it. Makes no sense to focus on a spell that you know a mob's already going to have from the RDM Next to you.

                            Monk's update is interesting. If I understood this properly, Monk just got the ability to switch between a "Dual Weild HTH" mode, and a "2h (or in this case, kick) high damage" mode. Perhaps in response to difficulty with HNMs? Not sure, but I'm interested to see how this will work.

                            Light Spikes completes the elemental shield set. (Phalanx is non-elemental) And Brd's Individual song usage might mean more hope for that occasional Ballad in Merit burns and other situations.

                            Either case, I'm really going to have to hurry and finish my huge Subjob Leveling Spree, so I can get onto meriting more seriously.

                              I think the new merits adjustments are just a stepping stone for WOTG's final mobs, preparations for endgame stuff if you will.

                                I'm looking forward to meriting BST (when I get there) and PLD, but I just wish SE would do the right thing and remove RDM group II merits altogether and add the spells as lower lvl scrolls instead.


                                Edit > And then add Tier II enspells or enspell enhancing traits as the group 2 category.

                                After all I would've rather seen SE saying "we are adding new higher tier spells for RDM (scrolls) but we aren't going to add group II merits for now" than what they did. Best part is how a lot of people not only bought the stunt but actually thanked SE for it.
