The agonizing thing is that WoW is supposed to be the MMO that gives retarded names from popculture to all their NPCs and their dogs (and areas, missions, quests. Pretty much the entire game, really)

I'd be a little more surprised if FFXI didn't already do just that fairly often. I mean, Double Dragonian? Operation Desert Swarm? Bloody Rondo? Red Vs Blue? Yea, not new for FFXI to make the pop culture jokes.

I'm not that really surprised with the name considering a few NPC names I've run across in Vana'diel. For example, our favorite Galka in Bastok Mines...

See BBQ's answer above. But I suspect a lot of the people finding it funny and/or dirty are thinking of the notorious 70s porn film of the same name.

Not to mention that the name Deep Moat seems like it could be the touching coming of age sequel to Deap Throat, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
