    True that.

And now that I've read the whole thread (I don't make a habit of posting first and reading later) I have to say that OPing to the Dunes is hardly ever and option if you're from Windy. Windy fucking NEVER has the Dunes. I have been on Windy for like 5 months now and I still haven't seen the Dunes belong to Windurst. Don't invite me to a party when I'm in Whitegate and get pissy when I say I don't have the OP, it's because getting the Zulkheim OP on Windy is a huge fucking pain in the ass.

I welcome the nomad moogles for this very purpose. Teleport-Dem, chocobo, job change and join my party. Yay!

SE has been listening to the players more frequently as of late, thats the answer as to the "why now" question.

Except in my case had I done this prior to the upcoming update, I would lose Gustaberg and Sarutabaruta, which will likely never again fall under San d'Orian control.

There are particularly hard-fought regions for some nations to get under conquest. Another nation conqusting the starter zone of another is rare, Windurst hardly, if ever, gets Zulkheim Region outpost.

Not that I OP to Valkurm often, but I don't have North Gustaberg OP so if I'm not Teleporting to Dem or using Jeuno Airship to Bastok to start with, this and WotG Warp are the only faster ways of getting near Bastok for me.

Even on Midgardsormr, Windy rarely ever got Zulkheim or Kolshushu until a few months before WotG came out. Then they suddenly started to do a lot better in Conquest. Not sure what the deal is there. I'd say Zulkheim is still held more frequently by Bastok or Sandy, but Windy's been known to take it two weeks in a row and it's not rare anymore for Windy to get it. Similarly for Kolshushu.

However, it's been a LONG time since I've seen Sandy get higher than second place in national rankings. Bastok's usually in first, with Windy periodically overtaking us. Rarely, the ranking becomes Windy > Sandy > Bastok, but Sandy is almost always last.

I'd just like to take a moment to say a heartfelt, "Fuck you!" too all those people over the years who bitched at all the people asking for the nomad moogles in Selbina and Mhaura citing any number of stupid dumb-down excuses.

Or you could say something positive (for once) and thank SE for making the change.

                That works better.

It was a positive suggestion to improve the game when I made it on numerous occassions over the years. Now, it's yet another of those, "Didn't I say this five years ago and get screamed at by fanbois?" adjustments. As for saying something positive, I don't recall considering your, or any other NEET's, opinions as pertinent to the content of my posts as regardless of what I say it will always run counter to the perceived status quo in their online S-E utopia.

5 years ago, everything about transportation was hard. It was part of the game, back then. Since then, outpost warps have had their level requirements and costs reduced, Return Rings were added, chocobos were placed in the non-crag Tele-Crystals, Cavernous Maws were added, raisable + summonable chocobos were added, and Aht Urhgan lets you warp back and forth between your nation of allegiance and Jeuno. So you get a nice, heartfelt "STFU (and I can't believe you haven't let that go) :D" from me, because back then the suggestion WAS a big deal. Now that there's 101 ways of getting around, it shouldn't come as a surprise that adding Nomad Moogles to Selbina and Mhaura suddenly seemed far more reasonable.

Read what you posted a few times and you may just realise just how ridiculously flawed your logic is.

You not liking what I wrote != Flawed logic. The fact is that everything - SE's policies, the game itself, and the players' mentality - has changed since the game began. You make it sound like it was just as reasonable a suggestion back then as it is now. Back then, you would've gotten flamed for asking SE to remove the Banishing Gates from Garlaige, too, but now we can get behind Banishing Gate #3 solo.

Grizzlebeard, the game isn't as small as it used to be, the land mass of the game has practically quadrupled since then. The addition of Nomad Moogles in Selbina, Mhuara isn't just a convience for newbies, its another travel option for players in a world that just got larger.

I don't think all of this stuff is just because we as players nagged SE to make these changes, but also because it was the appropriate time for these changes to be grown into.

I mean, I hate to say it, but Valkrum is no longer the end-all of level 10-20 EXP anymore, WotG added viable places to go that level. So lets say you got someone in your PT that's a 55 BLM and says "Hey, let's try this camp" and can hit you with retrace and all can warp to that location from thier nation in the past.

It happens. I've seen people talking Diving Beetles in Saurmonge Champaign (S) as an alternative to Crawlers nest, just a stone's throw away from where you warp in. This change is just as much convienient for the dunes as it is partly meant to encourage low level PTs to move elsewhere. You could go to West Saruta, East Ronfrare or North Gustaberg to EXP now instead of Valkurm.

People chewed you out for the suggestion back then because it was laughably easy to get to and get out of the dunes and people just made things harder by not setting HP in Selbina in case they died. They wouldn't treat it as serious as thier high level jobs, wouldn't bring oils and powder so they got thrashed up by gobs just like any other newb.

You know what? This update will not fix those people, it will only benefit those that already have a grasp on travel. I had some dip begging for sneak/invis on the way to Bahamut v1 the other day, so I'm not holding out hope that half the people in the game will ever get this smart.

I don't see what was so wrong with wanting Nomad Moogles in Selbina/Mhaura 5 years ago or now. I would have agreed with Grizzlebeard back then and still agree with it now. I'm glad they did it and its long overdue.
