Re: Adjustment and Additions to Fellows (05/15/2008)

Pretty odd they skipped a whole expansion and went straight to WoG for NPC content.

And, my ex-wife had "extra personalities," too. I hope Nauthima's are a bit less bitchy.

Note that they still won't let us use them in Aht Urhgan...

It causes stress for me. I still have this stupid computer issue that makes the window freeze up if I click on certain links, forcing me to close the window. But that's not important. I'm the least of your concerns.

Meh ... I know this isn't the meat and potatoes of the update. Those who actually use their NPCs a lot will be happy, me, however ... since I've basically ignored her since the dawn of time, it doesn't mean much.

Even though Yoli is rather useful at times. I just kind of forget to bring her along.

I think I only used my NPC fellow once... She was set as a "warrior" type and got herself killed because of it. This was before we could cure them so it didn't work out so well that way.

I still need to change my NPC. Someone walked me through the quest. I got the white spiky haired mithra. I wanted 2A or 2B since that model resembles my own, but apparently that one isn't an optioned.

You could always cure them. You just couldn't hit them with party-only spells like Regen.

There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

Shouldn't that be a good thing?

Also, in regards to Fellows being able to visit a few past areas . . .

Called it? The fact that they will be able to go to the past wasn't mentioned in the first update announcement, anyway . . .

I figured someone would say that, but speaking for a Dancer or Blue Mage, I'll stick to my word.

Here's the flow of SE press releases:
                        • Week One: Announce the update, vauge details about it and post about a forthcoming in-game event.
                        • Week Two: Tease them with somthing big (Ex: ToA relic story) and event backstory.
                        • Week Three: Post the boring, uninteresting update information on Tuesday and Thursday.
                        • Following weeks: Continue to post the boring info on Tuesday and Thursdays until you have nothing but the interesting stuff left (Ex: Crafting system update, Adventuring fellows).
                        • Final Week Before Update: Actually post the job adjustments, suckering those that held out this long to renew the subscription for another month
