Well, not counting the bastards making new mules for this event, last I checked FFXI had about 1.7 million active characters.

Ten tickets or marbles or powerballs or whatever the hell they are per character, 17 million chances to win. Given that it's only 1/100,000 (I know, 'only', but it's very low compared to real lottos), that's about 170 Rank 5 winners; or about five winners per server on average.

Indeed. Still, I'm just hoping people don't get their hopes up

And if you have multiple tickets that match the 5 numbers...

Depends on your style, right? 10 chances are getting something or 1 chance for the all-out (highly unlikely) chance.

But hey, it's a lottery.

I'll play it for fun, but that's about it. Any more thinking about it will be a waste of time. Even if I do win, I got 28~ days or something to decide anyway. So I'll think about it only if I win.

I would love to hear the stories though.

About server economy, they'll just have a computer picking out the lottery numbers that only a few people picked. Or just one. I hope they do show the winning lottery numbers, lol.
