At the following time, we will be performing emergency maintenance on all Worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

Maintenance operations will delete any reservations for Pankration matches. Players who are scheduled to participate in Pankration matches, those who will enter Assault, Salvage or Einherjar areas, or those who will participate in Dynamis or Limbus at the time of the maintenance, we ask that you please wait until maintenance is complete before engaging in these activities. Please note that we cannot replace items that are lost during the maintenance process.

* This maintenance will be accompanied by a version update. After maintenance is complete, the update will automatically begin after you press the "Play" button. After that, please follow the instructions on the screen.

I just hope the whole "smn's buffing everyone in Campaign" wasn't an accident too and they leave that alone. Infact they should change it so Brd, Cor and Dnc's effects do the same thing. Being aoe buffed is freaking awesome T_T

I just hope the whole "smn's buffing everyone in Campaign" wasn't an accident too and they leave that alone. Infact they should change it so Brd, Cor and Dnc's effects do the same thing. Being aoe buffed is freaking awesome T_T

It would sort of make sense to do that, since the whole thing is like one very large party. Though I would expect that even though it's nice, it's not going to be staying.

AOE's hitting everyone in range in a Alliance, Besieged, Campaign, Dynamis and the like makes sense to me.

Always great to see S.E hasn't changed their ways. 3 months to wait for an update. An then 3 updates to fix the updates they introduced. Do they even test anything they introduce?

I am going to miss Bst/dnc with Samba. Was nice to abuse it while it lasted.

The main thing about Campaign that needs fixing is how EXP caps.

The cap should be determined from the start of the battle until the end of the battle or you decide to leave, you should not be able to cap EXP, do an evaluation and then allowed to be reissued tags, completely resetting the cap. Its being completely abused by players at the moment, particularly to level Ballad bots, by my observations.

As far as testing updates goes:

Let's say you've made a really flexible online game, there's an update for it, you test it into the ground and release the update for said game.

You've handed it to thousands of people, more than what you have on your testing staff.

A player is going to find something, or players will find a lot of things. They're going to abuse those things or complain about them and you're going to have to fix it.

I like the smn buffing all, I was doing a Jugner last night and suddenly I had fenrirs buff on me, kinda shocked me, but power to all the buffs, helps with Blu spells alot.

Another thing in this category: While the charges you get from /SCH are based on your current (capped) SCH level, the recharge time is based on your main's level regardless of your SCH level. My BLM friend and I have both levelled SCH to 37, and on our 75s we get two charges on a one-minute recharge. It's handy, SCH's still better at it, but darn it, they'll likely call it an issue and fix it... -- Pteryx

That definitely sounds like an unintended bug. I did wonder a few times last night why I had so many charges to use, but I was often too busy to check.

It probably does need to get fixed though; a one minute timer for BLMs slamming out Ancient IIs is a little bit on the broken side.
