Cause I'm lazy, can you do all three nation's mission sets at once? I'm doing Windy, but Bastok is looking mighty interesting, and I think we may be seeing Tonberries soon, which is always fun.

Yeah I really like how SE has made the "Missions" in WotG accessible to all sides and not forcing you to only go with your nationality. That said, I am freaking loving little Excenmille ^_^

Malacite, you're only confusing the easily-confused further.

            I 'splain to the people:

Wings of the Goddess missions are intertwined with quests from your chosen nation in order to progress through the missions presented thus far. The other nation's quests are accessable to everyone and you can do them regardless of your nations affliation.

Addtionally, when you take on Campaign Ops such as Pit Spider, friends from other nations are free to come along regardless of thier nation's affliation.

This is markedly different from Rank Missions, in which participation may sometimes be nation-exclusive. And quests have absolutely nothing to do with Rank Missions other than possibly being linked by story. One good example of a quest line that's associated with rank missions by story would be The Star Onion Brigade questline, Windurst Rank missions and also fighting Fenrir. None of those are required to partake of the other questline, but when you do them all, you get the full story.

              Yay! Finally!

So these are just the "quest" storylines, not the actual WoTG missions? I've noticed that these storylines are much like the Assault storyline, they don't really coincide with ToAU but they're their own storyline.

Are we getting new Wings missions, following the one with Cait Sith? I want to keep moving on with those, too!

Yeah, these are just plain-jane quests. Put it this way, to make your way from WotG2 to WotG3, you have to do a few quests from your chosen nation (which does not have to be your Rank nation at all).

So if you were Windurst, you'd do "Snake on the Plains" (yes har, har) "The Tigress Stirs," and "The Tigress Strikes" and then hop into a maw around Jeuno to complete WotG3. You'd do the same with the Young Griffon questline in Sandy, preceded by whatever quest you do there to sign up for campaign.

i'm pretty sure there will be more missions, as the actual mission content was somewhat lacking in the initial release.

I'll say it was, WTF. Campaign is fun and all but we really got shafted on what IMO we've all been craving most (this being an RPG and all); Story Content.

Actually you can do any of the nations 'quests' to progress through the Cait Sith missions. I'm allied with Bastok but gained access to 'WotG3' via Windurst's missions. As of yet, I still have not completed the final Bastok mission nor Sandy one.

And seeing as they're directly linked with the Cait Sith cutscenes (you need to do them to continue the story) I feel these are more then plain jane quests and far from Assault like stories. These *are* the WotG missions, they each deal with important, pivotal plots and characters surrounding each nation and right now they're just getting started. They're certainly farther along then ToAU's story was when it was first released.

Split hairs and call them what you want, but they're logged separately as missions and quest.

Quest =/= Mission. For all we know, the quests were initially just filler story content to stall for the real missions. Or you're just required to participate in some here and there to progress in missions. Either way, quests commonly yield rewards and missions only gradually do.

Quests and missions have been intertwined for a long time now. Or are you all forgetting Mysteries of Beadeaux I and II and Crest of Davoi? (Not to mention the Apocalypse Nigh quest chain... and many expansion quests that require mission completion just to get to the quest giver, let alone complete the quest.)
Defeated: Maat, Divine Might, Fenrir, Kirin, Cactrot Rapido, Xolotl, Diabolos Prime, Kurrea, 9/10 Dynamis Bosses (missing Tav), Promathia, Proto-Ultima, Proto-Omega, 4 Jailers, Apocalypse Nigh, 6/6 Nyzul Bosses
                        RDM90, PLD90, DRG90, COR90, SCH90, BLU54
All Nations Rank 10, ZMs & PMs Complete, AUMs Complete, Captain, Nyzul Floor 100 (5 Weapons, 4 WS), Medal of Altana, WotG Mission 15, 1/3 Addons Complete, 9/9 Abyssea Main Quests, 6/6 Caturae

Apocalypse Nigh or The Ashu Talif Quests aren't good examples though, those are quests that require mission progress to unlock, not quests that further mission progress.
