    Fancy!

I don't think it will replace PlayOnline.com as the new site doesn't seem to have anywhere for news updates, customer service, etc. Then again, they could always change that. I wonder why this, and why now?

Ooh, nice. I like it. I like the sound effects when you hover your mouse over a button.

Seems like more of a promotional website than anything. Perhaps SE is beefing up a new marketing campaign?

The Worlds > Expansions section incorrectly states the fourth expansion WoTG is still coming soon. Someone got lazy in the web development department.

Wow, finalfantasyxi.com? It's not like they should've had this FIVE YEARS AGO or anything.

Re: Introducing The Launch Of Finalfantasyxi.com!

That site shows nowhere near the mastery of web design that Sony, Blizzard, and CCPs sites do, but here's to hoping they get there (not that they need to since there are 8 billion infosites for FFXI). There's a lot of Flash which doesn't fill me with great confidence that it'll be an information repository--it fills me with confidence that it is a marketing site.

They need a button that turns off that damned campaign music. That music was annoying on the first day... Most of their other original pieces don't make me want to turn the music off, but campaign music was a poor choice for background imo.

                          It's there, but it's kinda non-chalant.

If only characters looked like that, where's DX9 and the emulation engine upgrade dammit.

                              /poke! PS2

Seriously though, they should just do what UO did and make multiple engines for the same content. That way, we can leave PS2 in the Dark Ages and move forward with the newer consoles and PC.
