    This may sound like QQing to an extent, as I'll admit that RDM is even pretty broken to a point with some of the things it can do, but I still feel hurting for some things that would allow me to, as BBQ put it, explore every angle of the job.

    When I leveled BRD, I expected it to be a very 1-dimensional job, singing songs, and not much past that. That's what it is, which is fine, that's what I signed up to do. If I wanted to do something else 1-dimensional, such as main healing, I'd go ahead and level WHM. Not that I complain when it nets good xp/hr, it's just that I'm using a miniscule part of my capabilities by doing it, and it gets stale in a hurry. However, for my main job, I signed up to be something that is a jack-of-all-trades, not excellent at pretty much anything, but at least profficient at most of them, and yes, meleeing included.

    Alot of them are really tiny fixes I'd like to see. I'd like Enlight/Endark, simply because it's bothersome that I can take advantage of 6/8 days of the week and Elemental weaknesses, but not 2 of them. I'd like to see Enstatus spells simply because they'd be cool to use in low-man things, which are making a comeback. I'd like to have staff skill because I'm pretty much forced to carry around 8 fucking staves at all times, and it'd be nice to have skill with them just for the sake of having it. And finally, I'd like to have EX weaponskills just because it's annoying as shit that another Mage(job with 'Mage' actually in their friggin name!) gets them, along with higher weapon skill rank, despite RDM, in terms of job description(hi2uDuelist/Fencer), seemingly supposed to be better with a Sword.

    Aside from that, maybe little tiny things, like RR1 and Regen II(RR1 more than anything, it's not really asking that much, and it's not game-changing in any way), and maybe some adjustments being made so that it's actually worth busting your ass to get to 310+ Enfeebling Skill(show me a BLM w/ 310+ Elemental that gets resisted as much as a RDM's Debuffs do).

      The very second RDM got RR, SCH would beg for it too and then DNC, BLM and BLU would probably demand a form of it as well. So it actually would be very game-changing as it diminishes the pupose of /WHM more and more. I mean, do you know what a hard fight it is just to get 66 BST so you could sub /WHM for RR1? That's a bigger thing for me than getting 74 to sub /NIN for Utsu: Ni.

      Simple truth is, all jobs can just sub WHM for it after 66.

          I know BLM doesn't get Raise. BLM doesn't get any pure healing spells at all so there's no fit there. Does Dancer, Blue and scholar get Raise? If they did I don't see why they wouldn't also get RR anyway.

          Anyway BBQ, while someone made it so easy for you to jump on the latest RDM doesn't need anything, I'd much rather here why you think WAR and BLM need anything so dire that it would be a travesty if RDM got any updates before them. I'm not really sure what PLD needs either.

              I at times want to say if anyone needs an update it's THF, but at the same time it doesn't really. THF would 'need' to do more damage in order to get popular for meripo again. At the same time, I truly believe THF's primary role is that of an emnity manipulator(which they can do better than anyone, if you've seen a THF who knows how to use Accomplice well it's really, really fuggin cool the stuff they can do, especially in low-man groups) and second-tier DD, but every THF only complains that they can't put up 2k damage WS' constantly.

                Bullshit. I've seen good THFs, and I've seen what they do. On birds and greater birds, they rip them new assholes. If THFs are complaining about what they can't do, chances are their gear sucks or they're not putting merits in the right place.

                Not one to toot horns here or anything but this is my boyfriend on Simurgh, you can't tell me THFs can't do good damage. Simurgh is no pussy either. And CK turns out these numbers regularly with SATA + DE

                  S-E release a few vague lines over their update, as usual, and the thread rapidly fills up with ridiculously optimistic predictions and countless class balance arguments. Fuck's sake, it never gets old.

                    I know what you mean. I have the BLM AF2 pants, and it's nice to be able to use Aero/Fire/Water when the days match up(Especially when I finish my elemental obi collection) or even Stone sometimes, but when Lightsday or Darksday (Hello, BLM here?) rolls around, even a nuke with only the strength of a Tier III would be nice. I mean, Scholars get Lumino and Noctohelix, why can't we get Void or Chaos or something?

                    Also, Poison III/IV for BLM/RDM would be nice. Moar DoT!

                    I would love to see RR1 for RDM at pre-37, for a BLM to solo Gravity is almost required on some monsters, but RR is nice if things do go wrong and you die. I am sure many others, both BLM and non-BLM, will appreciate having RR with something other then /WHM.

                    For mages in general, I would like to see a higher Conserve MP rate. As it stands, Melee have been overbuffed to the point were TP can flow in faster then a waterfall, but Mages still have to take a kneel eventually, even with Refresh/Ballad/Evoker's.

                          RDM RR would come the same as it did with Raise, 38+. Besides, I would think BLM soloing would use RR items for RR2. It just lessens the pain and gets you back to where you were faster.

                            Yes, you've really got my number. I hate to talk about game mechanics and what the future holds. I hate it with a passion.

                            This forum is for discussing. So of course, discuss. But that doesn't mean that Grizzlebeard and I can't also discuss the discussion. It's like the circle of life.

                              WAR will NEVER tank with its face (acceptably) unless its face gets a powerful form of damage reduction native to the job, that doesn't castrate its ability to do damage. Speaking of which, I think Defender is a very sucky JA in all but rather specific situations. And it'll have to be quite powerful indeed to compete with NIN's Evasion + Shadows or PLD's 25-30% damage reduction through shielding, 4 Defense Bonuses and the curing capability of 100 MP/minute combined. If you don't mind a WAR not tanking with its face, then WAR/NIN already exists for that purpose.

                              At least from where I'm standing (i.e. not endgame) PLD doesn't need anything but Job-specific spells would be cool. Oddly enough what I want the most for PLD is not an improvement to the job itself but A SHIELD BLOCK MESSAGE IN THE CHAT LOG.

                              Totally irrelevant, but these forum fights used to be amusing, but the level of hostility seems a bit too high as of late for my liking. I mean, really, adamantly defending a position is one thing but the number of times I've seen someone put words in another poster's mouth is quite impressive!

                                I second that. Same for Guard. Guard! The damage taken by Itazura is reduced to 11.

                                Should add the en-spell damage to the hit which causes it; really don't need another line in the overcrowded log. Itazura hits critter for 32 damage; additional effect adds 19 damage.

                                Then, fix the the multi-target spells/songs/rolls/JAs: One COR roll or BRD song should not hog half or more of my chat log; Ballad on: party_member1, party_member2, Itazura, another_member. That'd be awesome.
