    Current Known Issues (Jan. 11)

    As of Jan. 11, 2008, we have confirmed the following issues.

    Investigation into these issues is being performed. However, it may require some time to find the cause.

    -Game may freeze for a player who is speaking to NPCs in Aht Urhgan Whitegate. (PlayStation(R) 2 only)

    -Travel time by boat may be shorter than usual in the following areas:
    Open sea route to Mhaura
    Open sea route to Al Zahbi

    We have been receiving multiple reports regarding these issues. We apologize for the delay of resolution and for any inconvenience they may be causing.

    Wow, about time they looked at the game freezing thing. I have a few PS2 friends who get pissed about it.

      I could have swore they listed that as addressed as fixed in a past update. I suppose what they thought it was turned out to be wrong which is why they added it might take time to find the cause.

        They addressed some WotG npcs freezing for all platforms before, this is the first time they've acknowledged the PS2 problem(which the playerbase has been fuming about for months).

        Granted they'd have sit through alot of QQ'ing, but really they need to start putting their ear to the ground and at least checking some of the popular forums to find out what the current problems that people actually give a crap about are.(Hint: It's not the position of Windurst Woods NPCs)

          they've been sitting on this issue for about 5-6 months now, long enough for players to encounter each problem NPC in Whitegate. I've generally avoided coming to Whitegate in part because of these issues and always having to have someone call a GM for me to pry me loose.

          Given how large the PS2 playerbase is - and I can only assume these issues would also be reflected on PS3 as well - it was kinda stupid to let this problem go on for so long, especially when there have been numerous GM calls about it.

            I wonder how many people they have working on bug fixes/updates. 1? 2?
            It's pretty sad how slowly they come out and to think that our monthly fees are most likely going to the development of a game we won't be playing.

                        Finally looking into the PS2 Whitegate Black Hole of Doom, huh?

                        Before I quit, every other time I tried talking to the Silver piece Warp Taru, or the Currency exchange guy, I would either get locked up indefinitely, or for 10-15 minutes at a time.

                        Never bothered to call a GM, just turned the PS2 off and logged back in. Horrible nuisance though, especially when my LS needed me somewhere quickly.

                          I hope they fix the problems in Besieged as well. Mass D/Cs about 20 seconds before it ends. Had this happen to me on a few occasions.

                            Shorter than usual times on the ferry is sort of an understatement. I had to go to Nashmau recently, ended up having a lot of other delays, but when I got on the ferry, after the cutscene of the ferry taking off and zoning into Silver Sea route to Nashmau, I immediately got the "We are nearing Nashmau" message, and zoned into Nashmau a few seconds later. I don't think I could have even reached the deck had I wanted to.

                              in that case, wouldnt this be a great time to camp for the pirate clubs? i've camped these nms lots of times, and everytime the pirates have spawned, they've come at pretty much the start of the ride, so you could maybe get 15 trips done in the time it used to take 10? might help you get these clubs ^^
