Yes. They should program a game that never has problems ever! Even with half a million people using it at the same time! The game should realize it's faults and fix them automatically. Also SE should send me gil.

I've been absorbed by PSU's Expansion as well as pissing about on nice, loverly main quest-quests on Oblivion, and haven't been on XI more than 20 minutes to check on my choco in about a week. So.... can't say it bugs me.

No matter when maintenance occurs, it's going to be during someone's "prime time" except Japan's.

I feel it a shame that this maintenance has started at a bad time, and for whatever reason for some of you. Maybe they SHOULD start it on EU prime time for a change. I'm in the EU, so let it all rain down on me SE, okay?

Anyhow.... I personally felt they had rather good timing with maintenance this evening, because I had only just finished the new expansion pack's (WoTG) dancer job quest too, which I quested with my lvl 43 WHM. Wooo hooo!! Hurrayy!! (sig update soon) So I only just got back to Jeuno in time to browse the AH and see what armour and weapons I could use for DNC before the server went down.

Well actually, I only just managed to buy a lvl 1 robe for it. So there'll be plenty of time to check out what other useful items and weapons e.t.c it can use when maintenance is over. This should be good I hope! Hehe.

The only thing I'm wondering at the moment though, is what sub job type you would best use for it in partying.
(I presume it would be a melee type. I'm not 100% sure though)
Or maybe I should just worry about that a bit later on, since it's most obviously just level 1 right now.

It's scheduled to run until 1:30 PST (18:30 JPN), so I'd say that does cut just a bit into JP prime time, assuming the maintenance actually lasts the whole 5 hours.

Not all that much. It's like what, 4pm in Japan when the maintenance is scheduled to be over. That might cut into people's 'ffxi time' but probably won't affect en mass.

Sorry just pissed because everyone else was enjoying the game.

Yeah we normal like to enjoy the game but the maintenace kept screwing it up for us. result? The people i was exping with are now 12 levels above me thanks to the 4 or 5 (I've lost count now) maintenance downtimes over EU prime time, thats how much its sucks.

If it makes you feel any better Aksannyi, I was seeking when the announcement came up. That went to hell in a handbasket.

So apparently, while I was at work, they announced the maintenance about 30 seconds after my dynals went into bastok. Last word there weren't going to replace the sponsor's glass, however he had another GM tell him that a SGM would contact him and see what they could do, so here's hoping.

Well, you are supposedly able to replace one item, one time...

Hopefully the SGM would be more accommodating than asking him to use that.
