My windower is running fine. I'm using an older version though. The only thing I noticed is that the random letters in it's taskbar button are no longer there. It actually reads "Final Fantasy XI" in it's button now.

I tried the Official Windowed mode. I didn't like it. When you run it, you will start in a windowed mode, but you can resize and maximize the window like any other window. When maximized, you will see the top top title bar and the taskbar.

Well Pro-Tip: Windower 3.26 still works.

I'm using 3.23 on WinXP.

And as I thought SE did not add DX9 in this update. Hahaha... Expansion better have it right off the bat no extra update nonsense either.

Finally just tried it out. Seems to be made of fail. Graphics are either distorted or partially offscreen or behind my taskbar if I try to run at native resolution and there's a performance hit? I expected at least the functionality of windower lite. Oh well, back to using "cheats" to get basic functionality.

Back to normal frames per second but only drawback is well no PS2 mouse Oh well patch time all should be well but i cant even play fullscreen the lag is retarded. Im off for the night.

The official Windower is working absolutely beautifully for me. It is actually running faster, with less lag, than the other Windower usually did. The only plugin I actually miss, funnily enough, is being able to see health precentages when having someone/something targeted, which I found useful for making sure things like letting paladins keep hate with healing, while still making sure the Parade Gorget was still active, or using anything with a precentage latent effect, really. I'll be able to live without it, no problem, however.

You can get rough %s by the color of the hp number. Yellow is <75% so if they're in the yellow most hp-triggered latents are active.

I was duo'ing there last night. And the whole place felt blinding to me. It was like the feeling I get walking outside on a hot Florida summer's day and needing sunglasses to be able to see anything.

I should've mentioned that is is better than the unofficial windower when it comes to contrast and color.

you need to adjust your color contrast and brightness to fix that problem...

I had to turn my gamma down from the POL config utility. I don't really like the new windower

I'm also confused as heck as to what I should do with my macro sets. I know I can chain them from 1 set to another, but I guess I'm not seeing the big picture right now. There's like a hazy cloud over my head on it. I need a big piece of paper...
