Geez, I was hoping to just upgrade to Vana '08 after it went down in price, but I'll probably have to get WotG stand alone for the PC (I play mainly on PS2) on release, because the stand alones for CoP and ToAU disappeared fast :/

If that is the case I'm offended, seeing as how they were out of ToAU disks and sent an e-mail giving a discount on the collection.

Was the discount specifically for the Vanadiel Collection 2008? I'm thinking since it was about the ToAU disk that it was a discount for the 2007 Collection. Otherwise I'm not understanding the announcement correctly because SE doesn't explain stuff very well. (Which isn't a big surprise with SE. >< )

Yes I'm sure they will but the question is when. Everyone will want WotG shortly after its out and they may not have the codes available immediately. Another thing they should address and let people know. ><


Oh and I wanted to comment on a couple things. Game release is noted as Nov. 20 but yet the stores around me said Nov. 21. If your store didn't tell you when they would be distributing them, pre-order or not, you might want to check. Nov. 22 is Thanksgiving for the US so stores will not be open. Also mail delivery will not be happening either. So mailed pre-orders will probably not arrive before Thanksgiving for some people and people who forget to stop at the store and pick up their pre-order on the 20th or 21st will also be waiting till the 23rd. Just something to remember!

I plan on buying WotG expansion alone, then later when the collection is cheap, I will buy it and throw out all my older disks, like i do every time a collection comes out. I dont see why so many are pissed. Its a good way to lower the amount of BS you have to type to register it all, if your new. Besides if your not new, you should not be buying the collection alone anyway -.- because you ahve the other disks and stuff....or you should -.- I mean... is it really that hard to install FFXI, then place the disks and codes back in the box, and place it on a shelf?

Nope, it was specifically for the 2008 collection. That was a thing they were pushing saying that not only would it contain ToAU (the disk I was looking to buy) but that it would also contain WoTG. Now the question is whether we are misunderstanding them or if they were trying to swindle me and get me to buy the collection only to find myself having to purchase a ToAU content ID and then a separate copy of WoTG. That would just be really devious though.... So I'm hoping that we can still use the single ID code to register the expansions we don't have installed.

Yea I am hopeing we can just use the "one code" for the expansions we don't have. The reason I got the Collection was because my other copy has some scratches on it. And I thought well, 50.00 for all or 29.00 for just one disk. So I Pre-orderd the Collection. Lets hope it works.

So does that mean I can't buy the collection in order to install CoP, ToAU, and WotG because of the code mumbo-jumbo? Or did Animeangel77's post already clear that up?

if you use the all in one code, it will register any expansions you dont have registered already
