    What's with the remakes.

              Well, SE did say a while back they wanted to find new uses for TP. Props to them for some really creative shit here.


              ... and stop asking for chocobo knight >_> it's not gonna happen.

              1) You can't fight on a chocobo to begin with (only in FFT...)

              2) You really think SE's going to give you free access to a chocobo any time, anywhere? I think not.

                  I blame Bastok and COP personally.

                  Although Chocobo Knights would kick ass elsewhere, they're completely infeasible in FFXI.

                      Mounted knights are featured in FFX and lots of the art and history of FFXI. For party combat it does seem unfeasible but maybe there's a possbility for it as part of Campaign? For Besieged-type conflict over the huge overworld zones it actually could make some sense.

                          I explained this once elsewhere but the whole Chocobo Knight thing was spawned on Alla. When the the first CG image was released, a player from Titan (of a pretty notable LS there) speculated about a "Chocobo" Knight class.

                          The morons took it and ran with it. And it has since spread all over like a disease.

                          I think Taskmage has the right idea, if there is any mounted chocobo activity, I think it would open to everyone as part of main missions, campaign or this "scout" thing . I mean, really, we bred and raised the things for ourselves, so why restrict it to a job?

                          Another pet class is the very last thing we need right now anyway.

                                yes it did, in FFIII for NES, and it looked very similar to the AF they have now......
