The Harvest Festival is coming! (10/11/2007)


The start of the always fiendishly fun annual Harvest Festival has been set for Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 1:00.

This year's festival has all the makings of a truly memorable event; everyone's favorite bomb decorations will adorn the streets of the three nations, specialty shops will deal in seasonal sundries, and both classic and all-new costumes will debut!
The townspeople from San d'Oria, Bastok, and Windurst are decked out in their most horrifying ensembles and awaiting your arrival!

So go ahead and start stocking up on all those goodies that the monsters of Vana'diel can't resist!

Hee, I do all of the events full out, cause I love all the costumey armor. Its gonna be exciting to see what they add this year. *goes to see about getting his pimpkin and witch hats out of storage*.

Those warp staves are awesome, and ginger cookies are cheap enough to make it easy. I even do this with my mules for easy travel with them. It's also ridiculously fun to become a Shadow or one of those creepy undead dog things. XD

This reminded me about last years festival and those witches they featured in the story, they were a coven tapped by the Shadow Lord to bring chaos to the three nations, kinda curious if we'll be seeing them act that role out in WotG.

I had completely forgotten about that, tbh, but yeah, it would make sense to see them in action then.

Yay! Gonna beable to finally come back the 15th, so now I don't have to miss this... again! -w-;

Erm, question, is this gonna be like all the other holiday events where you have to "buy" last year's same event gear for 10k? If so, I'm gonna go hammer someone's skull in over at SE.

I mean really, why don't they just give the old quest along with the new ones! Sheesh. I'd really want that Pitchfork thingy, but not if it would cost me 10k when I can use that money to buy food or equipment.

I've actually be poking around all the starter cities of late to refresh my memory on some of what the NPCs have said there, some of them will go into a bit of detail about what happened there during the Crystal War, such as the hanging of Orcs in South San d'Oria. That's actually made reference to in the previews.
