I don't recall the Sandy Storyline.... did they go into detail on what the lightbringer was? Was it something from the sky like a comet.. or somekind of weapon?

Well, those of you who are San d'Orian have heard about it. It doesn't come up at all in Zilart, Promathia or Windurst missions (not sure about Bastok).

True, but we already know (unless they're going to change the EXISTING backstory) that in the Great War era you could freaking WALK to Tavnazia (not safehold, the original city). Vollbow wasn't the bunch of ruins it is today, and Tavnazia wasn't an archipelago.

The crags, Delkfutt's Tower, Fei'Yin, Ro'Maeve, Horutoto Ruins and Pso'Xja will all be there - they're much older than the Great War - but might be less active than they are in the present. Sky and sea should be inaccessible. There's no ship service to the Empire or Kazham (in fact possibly no airships at all) and they'll probably come up with some explanation for why your Olduum Ring doesn't work when you take it back to the past, and why you can't Teleport Altep or Yhoat in the past. Etc.

And of course we've already seen from the trailers that Garlaige isn't a ruin yet, Davoi isn't an orc infested hellhole and many other places have more buildings/fortifications that are gone or rubble in the present.

I wonder what Qufim is going to look like in the WotG era... is that before the giants invaded it?

Well, I had tried to spark a disscussion about the job picks in the Fleshed-out Job concepts thread this morning, but I think I just posted to early, I'm not gonna bump it, but I was curious in these final hours what jobs you are putting your bets on.

I'm betting on two of these possible five and a wild card to be the third:

Al/Chemist
Geomancer
Dancer
Geomancer/Dancer Hybrid (i.e. Mog in FFVI)
Time Mage

Chemist has potential as another healing class and, as a subjob, could address MP endurance issues of WHM in fast EXP PTs, along with making things easier on other support classes healing wish. Temp item or tool based, it wouldn't have to be MP based to work.

Time Mage is all but confirmed and hotly desired by many, even if right now it doesn't make much sense. It probably would require a little shake-up or nerfing of other jobs with time magic to pull off, though. And any additional tiers of Haste kinda concerns me. Nonetheless it seems likely

Geomancer is probably the most demanded job since Blue Mage and SE did listen to the damand for BLU.

Dancer is my dark horse candidate still, I think it would finish off the "entertainer jobs." But I'm really hoping for Geomancer/Dancer Hybrid because I think it would fit this game better overall.

As for the Wild Card, I have reason to believe the change to BST was a quick 180 or SE dropped a WotG job concept they were considering that needed balancing against BST, because there was no reason to delay an update for BST otherwise. They said BST wouldn't get an update until after WotG in Pikko's E3 report and that changed a month later.

I'm thinking its gonna be a support job or two-hander job of some kind, as COR has been balanced against BRD and two-handers all recently got a big update.

But I think #3 is going to be another PUP kind of surprise.
