Wonderful, all thats required now is to take away all of RDM spells except for Cures, Haste and Refresh.

Seeing how Dancer has always been a debuffer (and oposite to BRD who is a buffer) I wouldn't be surprised if Dancer's debuffs were much better than anything RDM can do.

And if that's the case then all we would need is for SE's job adjustments to take the Enfeebling skill from us and give us all the Mystic Knight line of spells so we can become crappy DD wannabes! (at which point I'd burn my XI cds and never look back).

Not quite yet...many jobs can use similar debuffs and buffs as RDM, but with the exception of Elegy none of those are close to RDM in potency and accuracy.

I think, if anything, they'll do with Dancer in regards to Red Mage what SE did with Corsair in regards to BRD.

COR's biggest strengths are still the buffs it does not share with BRD. Ninja Roll, Chaos, Hunters and Evoker's Roll are the buffs we share with BRD and where all similarites begin and end. After those, each roll we have is fairly unique. We have Double Attack+, Critial Hit Rate+, Store TP+ and then all these mage and pet buffs BRD does not have. And no other job can externally influence White, Black and Ninjutsu enfeebles like COR can (we can't do anything for the BRD and BLU ones).

So for Dancer, there's still a bit of room to add another pro enfeebler that doesn't do everything a RDM already does and give it some other custom tailorings to fit it into the online realm.

There should be a small bit of overlap between Dancer and RDM for initial utility, just like COR got the same buffs at the early levels that BRD did, though COR got an evasion buff earlier. After that, though, they can expand Dancer to be more unique as it approaches and gets past sub level.

As long as they don't try to turn RDM into lolMTK DD-wannabe I wouldn't care if they added Mystic Knight or not.

Edit: Also, don't know if it was mentioned in that topic or not...seeing as it's 5 months old but, Nin enfeebles don't overwrite Rdm enfeebles. They just don't take effect if the Nin already cast theirs. Conversly to that concept though, it completely bothered me when I tried to cast enfeebles on my nin in an attempt to hold hate only to find the Rdm had already done so, depsite being asked to only cast certain ones. Then they'd complain when they get hate after converting+Big curing mid fight. Not the typical Rdm, I know, just sayin it was a two way street of irking. Though I do agree Rdm could use some more JSE enfeebles.

Add new enfeebles and give them to *DANCER* not the supposed master of enfeebling who never gets to do it after lvl 60? (When does the melee burn take over now?) except in missions and some end game content.
