Tokyo Games Show is here, and FINAL FANTASY XI: Wings of the Goddess will be present in non-playable form. No details have been announced regarding what will be shown, but the expansion is covered in the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly.



As seen, Famitsu Weekly reports that Wings of the Goddess will ship on November 22nd.

That scan seems like it would be just a bit too hard to read the kanji, but someone might be able to figure out.

Probably quicker to wait for famitsu to hit the shelves, so someone can translate it with the actual paper there.

Yoshitaka Amano's pictures are usually ambigious at best.

Its probably Prince Trion riding a chocobo in that picture. I think The Young Griffins are going to be central to this story and kinda what the Star Onion Brigade was to Windurst's main story.

Gobos does bring up a good point about Atomos though, there is a resemblance. Though I think that could just as much be knights rushing Castle Zvhal as anything else.

I agree, chocobo knight is very unlikely. ROTZ artwork had fucking LEGIONS of Chocobo Knights, and I remember chocobo knights showing up once or twice in COP cutscenes, I'm sure there is reference to a cavalry in TAU too. But I really just doubt it would work in FFXI.

I do have to say that, once it was pointed out to me, it does look a LOT like Atomos (or that one weird Portal game thing. Someone out there knows what I'm talking about), if you look at it closely you can even see eyes and some celestial looking shit.

This would explain how time travel is going to work...
