Well I being 24 and playing Pokemon Pearl right now, would like to say this....

Ignore the anime...... ignore the propaganda...... take the game and play it as a RPG, and you will find it to be a fun game to play, I played the all 4 gens of the game for handheld, and they have all been good.

If you play them and look at them as RPGs, and still dont like them, thats fine, but dont bitch over and over about something you wont even play.

We have "pokemon" in FFXI now, deal with it ;p

I'm sorry, but a game just can't be fun if it's not rated at least T. It's a law of nature. The games on the Wii virtual console that are all rated E now only get to be fun because they were grandfathered in.

I'm wondering what the prizes will be-maybe the winner will get to use his new pet in battle with him-.
Reguarding pokeman-the reason why everyone considers it a kids game is because in America it basically is(thanks to a stupid cartoon and even worse advertisement)

Lastely-I see this as the same idea as the chocobo races-a way to kill time when searching for parties or when waiting for the next expansion(so if you arn't thrilled about the pit, don't use it-it is not necassary to complete any mission or quest)

For me, personally, it's the kind of the other way around. If a game goes into "M" territory, it's usually hardly worth playing.

Mind you, I'm not some kind of prude, and I don't have anything against "M" games just for being "M," but, still . . .

Nah, well ... M games aren't necessarily bad. Like movies there are some that just rely on shock value which are naturally crap, but Bioshock for instance is rated M and is basically high literature as far as FPS games go.
