      But what if the 2-handed boost is good enough for lvl 50 ~ 59 G.Axe WAR to use attack food instead of sushi? We can have /SAM and Hasso at lvl 50 or /mnk Focus alternate with Aggressor too.

      P.S. With the 1 STR -> 1 ATK, I am wondering how WAR/MNK's Boost would perform after lvl 50 too. If I am not mistaken, Boost is percentage increase of attack?

          Celeal, I believe boost is like +12.5% attack or something. With a larger starting number, yes each boost becomes worth more. Of course, Hasso STR bonus is now even more effective. In addition to Hasso acc boost basically being Focus full time.

            Yes, Boost is Attack * (1 + 0.125n) where n = number of Boosts. In other words, a flat +12.5% Attack per boost.

            I'd say Axe only has an advantage 55-59 at best now. The +20 Acc from double Vikings is now offset by the 1 DEX -> 1 Acc change, so it really comes down to whether or not you want Rampage from 55-59 while you get Raging Rush on Great Axe. But with Great Axe you could use Breaks along with Hasso, Sneak Attack, or Focus/Boost to keep a lower hate profile while still doing competitive damage and contributing to your party's kill speed.

                Sorry to sound so abrasive, but this update has only helped a small portion of the community and hasn't changed the perceptions of the elitists. My friend has endgame NIN MNK BRD and is lingering on 68 WAR, and according to him, it's /NIN or nothing.

                He's saying how the update won't help DRGs and DRKs break into the "top tier" of DD which allegedly is NIN MNK/NIN WAR/NIN and to some extent SAM. According to him.

                He's a good guy, he just pisses me off sometimes.

                So nerf the god damn MNKs. -_-

                    I still gotta pick mine up, was waiting till i could use it but I don't know if I should now.

                    Though I honestly haven't really tried the new update out for myself, I did go plow through a few TW just to kill *something* with my new grip equiped. Funny thing was every hit was exactly the same, crits, zerk'd, no gear, it was kinda wierd.

                    I did try out choco betting though. The system isn't all that complex, but it doesn't mean you can win easily either so it ends up being real fun. The races themselves are actually entertaining to watch cause you never know just who will win, with all the random items going off it's anyone's race. I was fortunate enough to break even last night, lost 3 races then won one gaining back all the cash I spent so it was definately a good experiance. Once people start actually racing their own chocos, and you can tell which ones are PC raised birds by their compound names, then I'm sure things will get a lot more fun.

                      Until SE unshafts RNG by making it so 1 STR = 1RATK, I'm gonna put my RNG gear away and go back to lvling SAM again and get it to 75.

                        I'm really sorry because I don't want this to sound like I'm being hard on you. But you use words like "unshaft" and then say that the only way to unshaft them is to give them the same treatment done to the underdogs.

                        This is like...
                        Let's say that S-E decides (and I think they did) "Bio is too expensive to cast so we halved its mp cost." And then a BLM complains because they think all their spells should get halved cost. That doesn't make sense, it'd put us back to ground zero.

                        I know RNG hasn't had its day in a long time, but saying you're going to quit just because it didn't get updated seems pretty sad. Though if you're saying you just pulled RNG gear out to check out the update and now you're putting it back away, I guess I can't fault you there.

                          Apparently mnk's damage have been significantly decreased on tw mobs. There has been reports of it not being the case on exp mobs but nothing quite substantiated yet, which is why I was wondering if anyone here had any info.
                          It also seems that the cap on 1hand damage including h2h has been brought down considerably but made more consistent from what I can gather. Unfortunately this is causing a drop in mnks damage while all other DDs are seeing a large boost. This is what I'm gathering from what's being said. I haven't been able to confirm it myself. Anyone have any info on this?

                          All of the posts I've seen lately seem to say that they changed the pDIF calcs and the formula is making things really look wonky now. Its affecting all weapons but H2H seems to be the most noticeable.

                            I don't know about SAMs, but DRKs have been hurting for a long time, due to many scale backs of Abilities since Japan release (They've been weakened moreso than any othe rmelee DD class combined)

                            DRGs can also solo, which I'm sure SE is not blind of that fact >_>

                              DRKs and DRGs were in the same boat prior to this last update. Well I guess they're still in the same boat now, except it isn't capsized and actually has a motor.
