big update suppose to be pit the end our fing reward for the easy ass toau missions among chocobo things, let us not forgot more mob hp in toau, grips, and job adjustments.

they're updating POL server hardware. that's why *everything* is going down (not just the world servers)

if it goes well, we'll have faster/more reliable connections!

Maintenance is going to take so long because of the Union mandated crack smoking breaks.

Edit: I can't seem to find it now, but I saw some source where half-hour times were being given for various things. I think one announcement mentioned that World Transfer service would become unavailable starting a half hour before the maintenance window.

I was looking at the top why to they post 2 time frames any ways

One is the PlayOnline maintenance, the other is FFXI maintenance. The update can not be pushed until POL is back but does not require FFXI to be ready.
