Hey Sev, I think that on any given server, the amount of people that fit that description might barely fit inside one run of Dynamis.

I'm not arguing that wishmaster, was just stating the good players maintained damage very well, and people usually complain about the good player (being overpowered) and not look at the average player. Still happy for this update and the new fStr, hi2u more damage on Dynamis Lord and Faffy.

HAHAH! I called it on the idea of grips when SE mentioned doing something about two-handers!

Just about makes me want to gear up my DRK again.

You sure did, as did I and about 100,000 others.

I'm still holding out for my second estimation, of lucky charms *oor ar*

OMG I so called a 2h update after the Tp nerf, this is so my doing >.>.

And of course some had to have the same idea s-e used there has been thousands of fixing 2h threads.

I'm intrigued by the 'mage' grips. It should be interesting to see how all this gets implemented.

Ah, finally. This is definetely a step in the right direction. Now just pump up Seigan Third Eye proc rate just a teensy bit more and...well, that's probably being too wishful. But even so, this was way overdue. Glad it's finally implemented.

If they pumped up siegan third eye to say 3-4 or maybe more, they would run into the original utsu style, 4 shadows ws, aoes take 1 shadow not to mention they have no interuption or cost.

Well, the cost is not being able to have Hasso, and (correct me if I'm wrong) still getting raped by spells. Sure, it can't be interrupted but Ni + Ichi give you 6 shadows reliably, Seigan the best you can realistically expect Seigan to give you is 3. Seigan can't benefit from Haste either.

Probably best not to derail this thread into a /NIN vs /SAM discussion though, I don't think that'll end well.

Maybe they should change the name of "Sword strap" to something more generic. It's odd seeing a "sword" strap being used with a Scythe, hehe.

So merits will continue to be dual wield or GTFO.
May have been said already, but I'd point out that with the grips, and two handed weapons being adjusted to deal more damage to higher level mobs, we now have an interesting situation.

I see alot of people saying that plds and whms are better for IT mobs, hence why they don't the invite for the TP burns on the T-VT mobs.

With this update, we now have the jobs who specialize on T-VT mobs (pretty much ninja-anything that goes /nin) and the jobs who specialize on the VT-IT+ mobs, pretty much all two handed users and paladins/white mages.

It all depends on how two handed weapon damage scales to monsters of a higher difficulty level however.

                            EDIT:

Hey Sev, I think that on any given server, the amount of people that fit that description might barely fit inside one run of Dynamis.
Woot! I qualify to barely fit inside a Dynamis run!

                            2nd edit:

Also, two handed WS are getting adjusted again? Should be interesting to see what happens, I'm rather happy with the way Wheeling Thrust and other polearm WS are right now, well, maybe Penta Thrust could use some tweaking, Skewer way overpowers it normally.

I don't use Gsword or Scythes, barely used a Gkatana and Gaxe, so does anyone know how well those WS work? Gkatana WS seem to be great from what I see from Samurai in my parties, Gaxe, beyond Sturmwind I know nothing about, Gsword seems best with drk/thf from what I hear, and I know little about Scythes.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

I don't have a big ego, it just has a large mouth.

It is but it is about as rare as a ridills dropping back to back to back.

Speculate: Adjustment for the IT or "tough" mobs for new expansion. Who knows but hnms have become squishy!

I say this due to the fStr is only being changed on higher def mobs, usually not exp mobs. These updates look amazing for things such as Hnms, Jailers, Gods, etc. Not to mention Sam has become even more lethal in endgame (omgz nerf! lol jking). The merit issue is more about damage/mp spent on you, 2h can do great damage trust me from my burning as drg I can put up great numbers but still have a bigger mp sink, worse for darks. The help is not what mhurron was talking about he meant about 2h getting burn pt invites or invites over war/nin (atleast i hope he did >.> )
Yeah, this coming from the guy who's already decided to favor dual-wield before the change. So you've already counted yourself amoung the "sad?"
