Maybe... but his headgear reminds me more of Tiger mask than it does the Lamia headgear.
I've only seen maybe 1 or 2 episodes of Stargate SG-1. But I have watched a good bit of Sci-fi channel stuff in the past. So maybe I caught glimpses of SG-1 stuff through commercials. I'd try looking up some images for that show, but 1 link for Stargate has already crashed FireFox, and now it won't launch at all.
Time to reboot Windoze.

Well it's about time they added the Mamool Ja hat. I've been waiting 3 freaking years for something to dethrone the Lizard Helmet as the ugliest goddamn thing you could wear on your head.

Lamia helm on Mithra yes please lets hope making it wouldn't be a pain like the other one <.<;; I haven't even finished the gobby or yag one nor completed the other two

I thought the quest for the lv 61 one was rather easy. It's getting the lv 75 version that can summon the mobbies that are hard x.x

The level 75 hats can summon an NM to fight for you. Here's a link to one of them: http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7034. I've heard they don't do much though. Just used a tp skill and didn't do much else besides that.

I'm not sure why the Lamia head gear looked so familiar to me. Right now, I'm leaning toward a one-episode villain from Farscape named E'Alet. The picture at wiki doesn't show it very well, but he had what looked like gils on the side of his head. And when those gils puffed out, it kind of looks like the hood of a cobra.

Also, I heard of soldiers that would carry teeth and ears of fallen enemies but I never heard of them scalping their enemies and mailing them back home to be nailed up for show.
