All those things considered BBQ, say if Time Mage got Slow III and Gravity II, those are only two spells that could only be available at high levels.
Just for kicks, let's say that Square gave Stop (with the exact effect as Terrorize) to them as well...that's only three spells/abilities. That's not going to carry the job 1-75. Reverse is the exact thing as Dread Spikes, it turns damange into healing...Where would turning healing into damage be useful? I can only think of it being mildly useful during PvP.
Furthermore, at the moment, it's a major pain to get people to do Skillchains at all. Hopefully, in WoG, SE will put things how they are supposed to be, so people will start doing them again. I can see Reverse in Skillchains being useful only if you don't have the correct weapons to start a Skillchain that the mob is weak to.
But even after all of that, Time Mage's addition to the game is looking very bleak. There's just not enough uniqueness to be had compared to the current mage jobs.
Edit: I assume when you say Corsair makes Slow II, you mean using Earth Shot after a Slow cast? I thought that using the corresponding shot to match the enfeeble would only make it more potent, depending on AGI and the damage of your gun, instead of upgrading it a tier? So you're saying that if a Red Mage casted Slow II and Earth Shot was used, we'd then have Slow III?
