    COR can also essentially make a Slow become a Slow II starting at level 40. Also, see BRD's Carnage Elegy again.
    Terrorize is technically Stop, seeing as it brings enemies to a complete stop for a few attack rounds, only BLU and BST can do it. Bind gets the animation of Stop, but only stops enemy movement, not action. Stun stops the enemy from acting briefly.
    Reverse turns healing into damage and damage into healing. It could be cast on allies or enemies. It would have to have a long recast to keep it from being overpowered. What if it could also turned reversed elemental magic effects? You could do skillchains that might traditionally be resisted by a mob.
    All those things considered BBQ, say if Time Mage got Slow III and Gravity II, those are only two spells that could only be available at high levels.

    Just for kicks, let's say that Square gave Stop (with the exact effect as Terrorize) to them as well...that's only three spells/abilities. That's not going to carry the job 1-75. Reverse is the exact thing as Dread Spikes, it turns damange into healing...Where would turning healing into damage be useful? I can only think of it being mildly useful during PvP.

    Furthermore, at the moment, it's a major pain to get people to do Skillchains at all. Hopefully, in WoG, SE will put things how they are supposed to be, so people will start doing them again. I can see Reverse in Skillchains being useful only if you don't have the correct weapons to start a Skillchain that the mob is weak to.

    But even after all of that, Time Mage's addition to the game is looking very bleak. There's just not enough uniqueness to be had compared to the current mage jobs.

    Edit: I assume when you say Corsair makes Slow II, you mean using Earth Shot after a Slow cast? I thought that using the corresponding shot to match the enfeeble would only make it more potent, depending on AGI and the damage of your gun, instead of upgrading it a tier? So you're saying that if a Red Mage casted Slow II and Earth Shot was used, we'd then have Slow III?

      Adding Time Mage would be like adding Sorceror. The meat of the Time Mage job has already been dispersed into other jobs. If Time Mage was ever to be a possibility, Time Magic would not currently exist in the game, or they'd be pretty darn useless. Demi would be pretty much their only unique spell.

      Berserker.

      I think at least 2 of those 3 sound completely reasonable.

        Dancer has been tossed about as an idea for a job, and what better for a Dancer to wield than a Baton? Batons would be double-ended one-handed Blunt weapons, the double-ended part acting as a sort of miniature Dual Wield, for one hand. Thus, they'd be fast, but, obviously, lacking on the damage side.

        Give Dancers (this could also work for Jugglers) a Dual Wield Trait of thier own, and watch the fun! . . . Though it'd be a little wierd to see a Dancer or Juggler use a Baton in one hand and, say, a Sword in the other, so the Trait could restrict them to only Dual Wielding a weapon of the same type as the one in thier main hand.

        But I read in the interview that they were joking about Green and Pink Mage jobs. Well, if there's going to be a new Mage job . . .

          I don't see Geomancer working as it did in FFV or such, but rather sort of a hybrid of Mog from FFVI and the Geomancer job from FFT, in that they focus on GAxes and other heavy hitting weapons and lightish armor, and are able to learn spells that do low-medium damage and enfeeble by whatever means SE sees fit.

          There can be a bonus/downgrade of the spells based on the weather/day/type of zone the spells are cast in, for example, a Water based Geomancer spell cast on Watersday or with Water weather would do decient damage, but if it was cast somewhere like Altepa, where there is no water, or during earth weather, it is weakened. Make these spells give fairly good hate, and you have a decient tank.

          ETA: Last time we had a big job thread, I mentioned that I think the absolute best weapon for Dancers would be Katanas and GKatanas, as you do have that sterotype with dancers being assassians, and they are two of the few weapon types that are not shared around.

            Or, give them Polearms and they could be... POLE-DANCERS! /cuedrum

              Geomancers typically use bells as weapons, so that would be kind of interesting to see.

              But I doubt Square would add new weapons, because that means more weapon skills, skillchains, etc. Everything becomes more complicated! ><

                Hey guys... been reading up on stuff and watching the trailer.... well I came across this image in the trailer. Its got me a little curious for some reason.

                What ive attached is a picture of a SMN in full AF using a Scythe.... so... it just seemed a little curious to me. Could be nothing.... could be something... who knows!

                        I don't see TIme Mage being added TBH, after they gave RDM Slow II as a Group 2 merit the idea just seems like it's not possible.

                        Chocobo Knight, another job I doubt we'll see.

                          You couldn't any more wrong if you tried dude. Play FFV again, then come and tell me enspells are just as good as spellblade. I want my Sword Magic DD/Tank tyvm, RDM be damned. (They're just a jack of all trades anyway, so there's all the excuse you need right there to make Mystic Knight.)

                            Hmm still Time Mage would be cool but since SE has the habit to suprise ppl (PUP Job - gah!) its somewhat too obvious.

                            Though he could work with higher Tier Spells of Haste, Hastega, Slow, Slowga.
                            And Reflect could work too - just not the way we know- immagine it the way of a Spike Spell. If you get hit by Magic the Caster receives a certain amount of Damage.

                            Also Time Mage in FFT (which is closest to FFXI ImhO) had Meteor as Offensive Spell.
                            Demi is Gravity but doesent Diabolos's Astral Flow act in the same way(Percental Damage)? Could give a Spell version of it.
                            Also FFXII had some very weird Spells like Bubble or what its name was (it icreased Targets Max HP)

                            And JAs that refresh or shorten Recasts (Highly Doubt this myself since its Cors 2hrs)

                            Anyway id look forward to Time Mage but i admit many of the Spells associated to Time Mage are already given away.

                                I've begun gathering information about this E3 look in my blog. Though, if you've read this far, you probably already know what's up.

                                I heavily predict a multi-area Besieged system. I foresee multiple outposts, even cities, being attacked. Maybe they can even be captured.
