Re: World Transfer Service now in operation

I spend more than that on coffee in a week. Of course, I spend way too much money on coffee in a week. :/

Well you could, make a mule and pay $25 to move that mule to your server for the items you could only do this once 90 days

Yeah, I should have explained more. You can't just send the items, but you could create a mule for that purpose. No way of avoiding the $25 tho.

Well, I think it's fair to compare the $25 to what else you could do with video games. It's only half a brand spanking new title, but it can easily cover the entire cost for a game that's been out for a year or more. Does changing servers have enough of an impact to make it feel like you're getting a new gaming experience?

The answer could be "yes" if you're doing it to join a specific group of people, especially if some of them are people you know IRL. The answer is probably a "no" if all you're trying to do is escape a certain group of RMTs in hopes of joining a server with less RMT presence, or because you're trying to take advantage of a change in server economy.

Well, if you're changing servers for the latter reason, you are kind of naive. It's the same everywhere.

Just a quick question or rather just need clarification on the time available to do this. The three month period is when you can change after that your stuck where you are am I correct?

No, it's three months between transfers. As in, you're stuck there for three months.

I have another quick question on this please?

Regarding this server change option: Not forgetting the 3 month wait tiime inbetween, does anyone know if it has been setup indefinitely now, or is it something which only lasts for a limited time period like they have done in the past? (if it's an indefinite thing, it will mean that you won't even need a world pass anymore..... right?)

So if I wanted to transfer to another server, but didn't want go straight away, (a couple of reasons may prevent me right now, like the friends I made, and the players I have shared things with e.t.c. I'm still used to some things on Fenrir, and may not be ready to move yet) will I still have plenty of time to make my choice?

Whoah! £12.50 hey? (I'm glad that someone made that conversion for the british pound! I'm rubbish at working out international currency conversions myself. /sigh!) That doesn't seem very expensive at all, does it? I guess you would have to pay for everytime you transfer though, which could become a bit expensve if you do it too much, but I don't think anyone would want to transfer too many times anyway. I'm guessing for anyone, I'd say not more than once or twice at the most, but I could be wrong.

BTW - I like your avatar of John Simm in his role of the evil Harold Saxon in Doctor Who! Where did you get it from?
                              It looks really good!

I didn't know there was another avid Doctor Who viewer here besides me.
I think the series has been great! Can't wait for the last episode next week!

It's not an accurate conversion. USD is just usually about double whatever a pound is. I think it's actually more like 1 USD = 1.6 Pounds right now.

Anyway, if it isn't already availble in europe, it'll probably be 25 pounds, just because the entertainment industry hates europe.
