Kinda pissed the olduum ring is now little more than a daily warp cudgel. I mean, they made a story behind it and everything.
It wasn't that hard to walk to whitegate. A two minute trip tops. And putting a chocobo stable girl there kinda kills what little story there was... not to mention it makes the COR AF quest there incredibly weird.

if it makes you feel better im not seeing too many people usuing this compared to warp npcs.

I wonder if we'll able to travel directly from Whitegate to any of the three cities? or if it is just one way.

If that was the case, everyone would be setting their HP in Whitegate. I'd fear the lag.

sorry lamb, everyone already has. currently, everyone who has a job 60+ on my server is standing outside of the Whitegate mog house. Why? Because they can warp to "nation of allegiance" at a small cost of 100 IS -- of which most people have 20000. From there, they can OP to anywhere.

I'm pretty sure this already happens. You can travel to any (one) of the three cities, as long as it's your nation of allegiance. Alternatively, you can travel to Jeuno and ride the airship to any nation.

Also, I'm pretty sure the majority of people with jobs 55+ already set their HP in Whitegate.

Yeah if you use the services of the Whitegate Taru instead of his brother's eventually you'll get the option to teleport to your nation for a silver piece.

But if you use the free taru his brother will get mad at you and won't tele you till next day, and you wont be able to tele to your nation till you have used his services a few times again.

To warp to you nation of allegiance you need to use the pay warp taru in whitegate 3 times without using the free one. If you use the free one, you have to use the pay one three more times before he'll offer to warp you to your home nation.

With this change I believe I'll no longer set my HP in aht urghan. Most times I use the warp taru in aht urghan to warp to windy to OP, now I can set my HP in bastok or sandy and I can get anywhere in minutes. I can warp to windy and get to anywhere fast. I think this will actually help with congestion in Aht urghan. The reason most people set their HP there is because there is not an easy was to get there. Now it's just a few moments away from any outpost.

It doesn't matter, only reason I've had to go to Whitegate is to unlock the jobs, try a few Besieged events, and just look around. I have plenty to do before I get there. Just looking for an easier way to get around other than airships/teleports (even those make it fairly easy to begin with)

But not for us lonely blm ; ; Blm exp gets good in ToAU areas around 65, till then I was leveling in bibiki and newton. I still find exp better in sea though that ToAU, but thats neither here nor there.

Did anyone else notice the following?

Choco-gals will now offer chocobo rentals from the teleport crystals in the Eastern Altepa desert and the Yhoator Jungle, as well as from the leypoint in the WaENom Woodlands

I got a laugh out of that. It looks like POL announcements get fed through some kind of parser to make regional announcements. That's the only way I could see the "ja" in Wajaom being replaced with "EN".

It's fairly obvious this change is being made to encourage players to set their HP in their cities to reduce Aht Urgan congestion and split the load, which seems like it's gonna work great unless you are really interested on checking the Jeuno AH as soon as you warp.

Not to mention Storage space will be used a lot more now.

- Outpost Teleportation
The level restriction on players allowed to use the outpost teleportation services located in Bastok, Windurst, and San d'Oria will be lowered. In conjunction with this change, a fee adjustment is also being considered.
