They could. I'd hope they wouldn't "borrow" so obviously, but you never know.

I just hope that it's not a Dynamis type situation, where you can only experience these new areas if you're already at or near 75. But then again, the game is pretty top-heavy.

SE has never made an expansion where the content was purely high-level only, don't see why they'd find an excuse to start now. A lot of the core 360 players are just now getting into things like sky and the medium range of CoP missions and there's a lot still working toward or past the 50 mark.

I see lots of genkai shouts and almost have a level 30, rank 2 player asking me how to unlock COR every few days. The game seems top-heavy, but there's plenty of people in the low and intermediate portions of the game.

(I just hope I can get the expansion fast and don't have to wait a month to get it since SE doesn't distribute XI in mx... )

Yeah but it takes like a month for stuff to get here, that's what I'm talking about.

I just hope it's faster this time around.

Ahh that trailer excited me. The worst part was the end when it mentions "Winter 2007." I hate winter, and summer is just about to start. Thinking about the fact it'll be cold again (in my region at least) before the expansion comes out is a little saddening.

Damn my impatience.

I feel you man. They've done a lot to improve the game over the years, but I still wish it were SLIGHTLY more accessible. I feel like if I don't have a few hours to gamble away to look for a party or mission group I might as well stay away.

Something tells me these new/old areas might be Dynamis instance style. Talk to an NPC, be transported to the area, and clear it out? I hope not. It'd be nice if it were the same exact zone, just years ago. I can imagine standing in East Ronfaure, seeing the walls of San d'Oria in its former glory, visiting the not-so-ruined Tomb of Ranperre, and maybe seeing wild life that used to be there.

Oh come on! Another expansion?! >_< I'm so left behind. I haven't even done a Zilart mission!

Zilart, CoP, ToUA, and now this... I feel by the time I manage to catch up, FFXI will be dead, or I end up quitting. Whichever comes first.

I remember they talked about the TOUA expansion pack being more solo friendly. So far i haven't really seen much of it. I never even could pop out my Companion in the new area. And i thought it was somewhat mid to top heavy.

Maybe this one will take into account more solo adventures.
