Yup I was right it was the right version of POL you need

I've downloaded and installed the vista compatible version of pol, but when it updates it gets to 211/286 files it freezes. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've downloaded the updated POL. UAC is turned off. When i try to run the Final Fantasy Configuration I get this error message: Final Fantasy XI Config has stopped working. Any ideas on what else i'm missing that will help me access this config tool? Thx

Did u give it admin privaleges? Right click -> properties etc...

My mistake (ages ago) was DL'ing hte US version of POL. Eventually I DL'd the UK version and has been fine since (running Vista 64-bit here).

So I know the directions but can anyone share a clue as to why Vista won't un-install the basic FFXII program?. I have all the rest uninstalled but it just won't let go of this one. Super frustrated
