"Just" a rare/ex K. Club? Wow, your expectations must be huge if adding a rare/ex version of K. Club brings just a "meh" reaction.

If it follows the same pattern as Leaping Boots and Emperor Hairpin, I think we'll see a slight rise in price at the beginning. It will take time for people to discover which BCNMs drop the old items, strategies for beating them, and time to farm up new seals for additional runs, etc. Not to mention that the first group of players to start getting Fuma Kyahans / O Kotes from BCNMs will want to get the highest return on their big money drops. After a while, there will be a similar supply of these items up for sale to how it was before the update, and the prices will start to drop.

One of the most intriguing points in the update details is the "locations of certain monsters in Bhaflau Thickets has been adjusted." I wonder if they're making bird farming less mind-numbingly easy in order to take the meat & potatoes away from TP-Burns who rely on such monsters to function. Also, the addition of the new monsters to various ToAU areas may also serve to modify the tactics of the low-versatility precision strike TP-Burn party.

I simply read this to mean that they were adding that new Rhino type mob (the one pictured in the update announcement) in Bhaflau. And rather than just packing this new mob into an already crowded spot in the zone, they decided to move surrounding mobs to adjust things accordingly.

I have a feeling that the level 7 Beseiged will also serve to push people back towards the older zones a bit too, as we'll probably see losing the Astral Candesence become a more frequent event (heck, we almost lost it last night on Migardsormr).

Very awesome update. Probably the best update they've ever done. They added missions, quests, fixed major RMT issues(flat-out owned them I'd say), put in cute stuff like an unique gambling game and wyvern emotes, some job adjustments(DRK mainly, we'll see how good those PUP attachments are), and fixed major end-game issues(kind of related to the RMT issues). I especially like how they went back and gave LoO an item. They also added things people are recently started asking for like adding the quiver process to Virtue Stones and Elemental Cards. I'm still in awe of the 100% drop rate for Sea items. Such a simple change, yet such a powerful one, and they really gave it to us.

They listened to us and they gave us what we wanted.

Some more job adjustments would of been nice, but otherwise, a pretty flawless update and this is without the Chococbo Racing being added yet. I can only hope they continue this performance with more updates that will hopefully touch on Conquest, Fellowship, and more end-game issues. I also hope Chocobo Racing is the very sweet frosting of this cake.

              Good shit.

A new mini game called “Venture Roll” is now playable on “Game Tables” found in the areas listed below. Two to four people can play Venture Roll, with the winner walking away with the combined participation fee.
                Finally, GAMBLING!!!

A dragoon’s wyvern will now perform the following emotes along with its master:

                blush/bow/cheer/clap/dance/goodbye/hurray/joy/panic/point/salute/surprised/wave
Not the most important thing a DRG needs, but damn, it brought a smile to my face anyway. Foobar his wyvern, Muffin.

                - The Notorious Monsters listed below now require a certain item to be traded in a certain location in order to appear.

                Big Bomb/Alkyoneus/Pallas/Sozu Rogberry/Ullikummi
Some people will be dining on crow tonight.

All that aside, the level requirements added for various quests are obviously RMT countermeasures. They pertain to quests for Drain, Aspir, Teleport and Warp scrolls. RMT were exploiting the hell out of these.

I wish we had known about LoO before the update lmao hes been up constantly since the RMT worked out he only drops a shall shell 2weeks after the update, could have logged on, killed him and maybe got a r/ex KClub (:

Edit: I totally missed that bit about the 100% drop rate from most NMs in sea. Probably the best thing in this update imo. (Not that the rest isnt good as well)

God, when will SE ever listen!?

...kidding, of course. I'm pumped about all the NM-related changes (especially Eurytos bow, for obvious reasons). I only wished this came a few days earlier, as I just lost a couple thousand EXP attempting CoP 2-5 on Monday. There may not be huge job changes, but a lot of little things that prove SE is paying attention (no matter the reason!).

Only thing about the Rare/EX changes on various NMs is that for a period of time (before giving up) RMT will "merc" them instead of monopolizing them

But this update is going to screw with the RMT on many levels, and that makes me very happy. But I fear this will drive them deeply into coffer areas, making AFs and quested items like the teleport-Vahzel scroll or Ballad II more difficult to get.

I wonder if he would drop a staff instead of a club. You know, like the one Jormy has. 2-4 hits with a staff rare/ex, I could live with that.

It'll be, instead of Kraken club, it'll be called a Lusca Club or staff. I doubt it would be called Leviathan Club or Staff, but the words are very likely.

Omg, SE has answered the calls on NM drops for the money makes. I can finally camp the ones in Castle O. I just can't believe these updates, I'm like litterly laughing and cheering and giggling like a school girl after reading it all @.@; Yay for us. *wants to get on drg just to see the new emotes* Funny thing is, before reading this, i was thinking of getting back on dragoon to solo exp again, espically with the signet updates.

I'm afraid that they'll go and do the rolanberry quest like I do, and ruin my chances at making some gil and skilling up weaving, but on the other hand this update totally fixes so many of my gil problems with rare/ex equipment.

I mean, damn man, I can actually get a pair of Alkyoneus's Bracelets now, do you have any idea how happy this makes me? Most of the gear that I would want if I were to level samurai or monk is now rare/ex, I won't have to pay through the nose for it.

The enmity gained when using “Chocobo Mazurka” or “Raptor Mazurka” has been reduced.
Does this mean no more bard tanking?
