I did searches on a handful of RMT names I remember and about half of them turned up missing. What really made me happy, though, was visiting SSG and seeing two legit fishers and NO BOTS! :D

There was a load of GS down in Kuftal hunting Amemet and a lineup of about 5 fishbots sitting just near Ensasa's in Windurst Waters yesterday. GS also claimed Tiamat yesterday and had GM watching to make sure no one MPKed.... [last item is hearsay]

Just think though... 9,000 accounts... Gill running at ~$20 a million...

9,000*30(New accounts) = $27,000
20*45,000,000,000(Gil Removed) = 90,000,000,000/1,000,000 = $90,000

Thats $117,000 out of the gilseller's pockets. No doubtedly it will be less as some of those will be gilbuyers, but that just means less customers.

EDIT: You can also add in oppertunity cost, i.e. time it takes to level up new characters.

yeah a guy in my LS had some gil seller names, he did a quick search and sure enough the Names were back, level 1 rank 1 no sub jobs.

that goes to show that SE needs to make this sort of mass banning a regular event.

Its funny but they will never give up will they, So much of there gil was taken from them. An there high lvl chars destroyed. So what they do is start up for the 3rd an probably 4th time.. This is getting to be a funny thing. some of them are gone from my sever. But a new line of them have now shown up..

There's a screenshot between a popular JP LS which kills for money on Titan. He's been accused for being RMT a lot (and play innocent with the GM chat obviously >.>)

The GM tho mentioned that they "take reports very serious" now. But I really hope they also go around investigating on their own too... not just wait for us to report.

It looks like it is. They've been doing it often these past few months.

And I'm starting to think that a few round-the-clock crafters on Phoenix have been banned. A couple I assume are RMT haven't made any purchases or sales since early Thursday morning (thanks ffxiah), and I haven't seen them when doing a search. If so, I won't have to depend on fishing daily to make any real kind of money.

Thinking they got Seraph's Kaginawa RMT too, the character Serfa has not bought/sold since the bannings happened according to FFxiah.com, which has led to a proverbial upheaval in the market with prices on ingredients dropping and the same domino effect on stacks and toolbags. Kinda sucks since I was the major competition to the RMT and now the whole thing is a mess. Gonna not craft a few days til it settles.
