All Worlds Maintenance (Oct. 18)



At the following time, we will be performing FINAL FANTASY XI maintenance on all worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

Thank you for your patience.

* The client software will also be updated at this time. Once this maintenance is completed, the client update will start automatically after logging back into FINAL FANTASY XI. Please follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

* You may receive errors such as "POL-1160" or "POL-0010" during the download process due to heavy server traffic. If you are unable to access the update, we ask that you please wait a while and then try again. Thank you for your help in making this a smooth version update.

* For the update details, please refer to "Topics" on the official PlayOnline.com web site or PlayOnline Viewer which will be available on Monday, Oct. 18, 2006.

a bit unusual, but they are probably allocating a couple of extra days in case the update is bad so they won't interfere with the holloween event schedule.

I remember they use to do updates on Wednesdays a lot in the past, only in the past year have they tried to do them on Mondays more.

I do find it odd that they think Oct. 18th is a Monday though.

I like the short notice myself. If they told me too many days ahead of time when the update was going to be, I think it would make me crazy waiting.

Really looking forward to this one.

I have a Dynamis-Xarc run that had been scheduled for tonight. Gather is 2 hours after maintenance was announced to end. I'm not holding out hope for it.

Actually I'm hoping they extend it :x I gotta go to work until late tonight and I was hoping to make it home in time to try and catch an NM...I doubt it, but I can hold up hopes >_<+
